It's hard...it's hard changing your life. It's hard picking up the pieces and starting all over again. It's hard getting your mind together after you've gone through a life shaking experience (being a primary caregiver for someone; hearing a diagnosis you didn't want; starting over again from a loss of any kind; being alone in a new place; wanting a friend.) But you can do hard. You can weather the storm. You will come through this.

Affirm to yourself every day ~ several times a day...no matter how hard it gets...I'm going to make it!! Stand up inside yourself and look yourself in the eyes..and say "I can do hard!!" Exercise, pray, seek solitude, allow for periods of sadness...but know that you will get through this. Keep the faith; continue to work; and expect to make it through. I hope that this little post doesn't hijack the thread or steer it off-course, but I must say that I prefer to think of actions for motivational purposes rather than refer to quotes.

For example, take Aaron Sorkin (TV and film screenwriter). That guy punched out pretty much every hour-long script for shows like The West Wing and Studio 60 and The Newsroom ... and that was when he wasn't writing screenplays like The Social Network or Moneyball.

So when I think of that, I ask myself why the hell I'm sweating over writing one decent piece of content! Very motivating to see the body of work that champs put out there, unencumbered by perfectionism.

Awesome comment haha. Best part about champs; they don't give two s**** what other people think of the flaws in their work. Speaking personally, I think that is a massive relief.

Legends aren't forged by pleasing everyone (much less average "success stories").

Oh, I think they do care very much. But the difference is probably that they are content to be 90% happy with their work before submitting it. That's a million dollar rule right there!

There are many that I like to follow. One of my all time favorites come from the movie the Crow and it is "It Can't Rain All the Time." I love this quote because it states that it does not have to be bad all the time and that there will be a time when it is good. Just because it is going rough now does not mean that it will always be rough.

"I always see life half full not empty". This encourages me to push forward regardless of the beating I had to get through.
