Ever heard the expression "love what you do and you'll never work another day in your life"?

I've heard that (or something like it) many times.

The other day I heard a guy I know that is very successful say this, but added another critical piece of information.

Loving what you do is at most 20% of actually enjoying WHAT you do. The other 80% is a combination of who you do it with and the mindset you bring to the table. (His emphasis was on the former.)

So the secret to happiness in your business, like life in general, boils down much to the quality of your relationships with others.

Build them. Nourish them. Cherish them.

Something those of us who spend way more time staring at a screen than with actual other people need to be reminded of.

i don't believe in the love what you do line ..or follow a passion..

what i do believe in that what you do should give you purpose and excite several passions ..

I am quite sure an NFl quaterback who is good has a lot of things happen he does not like and goes through teribble moment of despair as tens of millions of fans watch a bad game ..

there is also a lot of hard work and a lot of pain when every time the ball is snapped several big mean guys want to run you into the ground ..

but it is those very things and a quater back ability to handle them that make love what they do ..

with any persuit there is going to be many things about it that you do not love or would rather not do ...but when you have the perspective in place of how getting those done ..lets you do whatyou really enjoy doing .. then nice ..

just think how much time a motivational speaker spend on plains and staying in cheap hotel room to get to talk for 20 minute to an hour

Following your passion or obsession is very important. Desire is the killer ingredient that will give you the strength to overcome any obstacle, but if you want to make money there has to be a market.

I do love what I do. But it is still work. But to me that does not matter. I feel so accomplished when I have completed a task so for me that is good. I love being able to say hey I just did this and made some extra money for my family. That feeling is awesome.

Once I earn significantly more money from my business, then I will be doing what I enjoy just about all the time.
