    hey john,

Those PIPS sites aren't allowed in sigs buddy, or the whole forum would be full of them.

If you're desperate to make money online but can't make sales, do some research around the forum.

There's a very useful help facility.

And if you're really desperate, offer an article writing service.

    People always need content.

      Hey, John,

I think what David meant when he mentioned writing articles was that you could offer your services to others, so you could potentially write articles for others and get paid for it - David correct me if I am wrong. But your articles would have to be of a high standard, as Steven mentioned.

As many have said before, SEO can take some time, especially if you don't have money to outsource some of it. However, you can get quick gains if you just target the right keywords - i.e. buying keywords and product names. If you target the right words, then it often doesn't take as long as most people believe to start ranking.

If you gave us a bit more detail about what you have actually done to this point, i.e. are you sending traffic from your articles to blogs, etc, then we might be able to help. The more detail, the more we might be able to help.

The devil is in the detail, you could be doing 90% of the stuff right but you could be missing the 10% that really makes the difference between success and failure.

SEO takes time. You need to keep doing things like article submissions, blog commenting, forum signatures, social bookmarking, etc. In time those techniques will pay off. With some of those strategies it takes a while to see the full effects.

Perhaps you are not doing those things as effectively as you could be. So take some time to read some tips articles for more ideas. You may just need to target less competitive keywords.

I wouldn't say that social bookmarking is always a great source for links and traffic. Some niches work much better with social bookmarking. To excel with sb you need a buzz-worthy topic or something that is universally interesting. For some sites, social bookmarking has very little effect.

  • Hi John

I'm as guilty as the next man but trying to make fast cash is maybe the first concept you've got to get rid of. I might be wrong but for every thread on here that recounts a tale of making a stack of dollars seemingly in minutes frequently doesn't point out the 10-20 efforts that came up with diddly squat.

Importantly just know that people are making money at this game. Money doesn't play favorites. It doesn't pick 'deserving' people. Money is just a consequence of people following the right set of actions.

My advice, find the thread on here that shows you how to find the articles that have 20,000 views. Look at the articles and copy learn what made them successful. Repeat it for keyword research and repeat for driving traffic.

There's more free gold in here than you can shake a stick at. just believe

This is so true. You need to find out how successful people got where they are. I would recommend 1. Finding someone who is successful and has good reputation and 2. Sign up for his training course. Investing $300 or $400 in some sort of organized training might get you where you want to be in 2 or 3 months instead of 3 years or never.

        Hey Bub,

Article marketing is a 'finicky cat'. I'm not here to say your writing is 'bad' or anything like that (especially w/out samples). However, successful article marketing is a fine balance between 'salesy' & 'reality'.

Example: (most enjoy leaving examples out just to bump their post count, good for you tiger!)

Let's say I am writing about an affordable yet kick-ass cat food that enable's your cat to perform feats not normally seen from most cat's....which sounds more appealing:

"ABC Cat Food is the best around. I personally know friends that have used it for years and their cats are the most 'full-of-life' felines you have ever seen, they are now super-duper cats! Not to mention this stuff is sooo affordable a bum off the street could afford it! You had better be feeding your cat this crap or else....yadda yadda yadda...I just bored myself"

        -or-

"I just picked up this low-cost cat food and was compelled to write about it. Before this my cat could not save a bank from robbers if he tried.

He would just lay there lickin his paws, his un-mentionables, and sniff butt.

Butt I swear, after I fed him this stuff he perked up, became more 'snuggle-able', fed my children, and actually balanced my bank book...and that bank down the street?....SAVED!!!

How's that for a cat food?"

Kinda random I know, butt I feel it gets to the point....essentially write 'compelling' copy and people will whip out those CC's

If you've got more time than you do money the SEO is going to be your best bet.

You may need to take a look and re-think what keywords you've been focusing on. Search your niche and see if you can find some easier to rank for keywords. Or you may not be targeted enough, perhaps you've been attracting the wrong kind of traffic. Make sure you're attracting "buyers" as best as possible.

You're not getting any results (I'm guessing) because your articles are
    probably not very well written.

In the above post, it should be "not getting any results" and "only one sale."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be a Mrs. Wombat here, but your
writing needs a lot of work. To make money as an article marketer, you
have to write quality articles. People who just spit out any kind of junk
aren't going to have success. It's that simple.

I'd take Dee's suggestion and check out that thread, but I don't think
    article marketing is for you.

Yeah, Gary Halbert used to teach that you need to get in front of a hungry market. If they are hungry enough, they're run all over the Mrs Wombats pointing out the problems with your spelling and grammar, trying to get at your product.

  • Rethink your product...maybe there is the problem...then rethink your salespage and then rethink your price point...

after all that rethink your traffic strategy...it helps to know how you will get traffic BEFORE you do anything else (like make the product) ... because without traffic, no sales...

    hope that helps
