Successful mindset alone is not not good enough to build up a successful career.

The purposes of this thread are the following:

1. I want to take the challenge myself who always have some extra weight to stop me from taking all the necessary actions towards success.

2. I want to show all the steps and milestones along my adventure to inspire as many people as possible.

Summary of my future posts:

1. I will mainly post data I entered into my calorie tracker at livestrong to show my journey. If I learn something new along the way, I will post them here as well.

2. I will post my track record every day and update my weight every day (in lbs)

3. Pictures: Yes I would love to post some pictures. Now I plan to update my picture (within the post) once every 15 days. The first picture will be posted tomorrow

About me

I am 33 years old dude with 5'6" height and 191.5 lb weight at the moment. I decide to start this challenge to improve myself to a brand new level.

I am also taking two other challenges at the same time.
1. Forming new habits by myself at - link removed by moderator -
2. 31 Days to Build a Better Blog challenge by Darren at ProBlogger

Other Concerns

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions. I am not an expert, just a learner.

Whenever you read my post and decide to join, it's never too late. Take action today and I would love to hear your successful story.

Let's get started!

    Day 1 Update:

Well I want to be very honest upfront. I started my experiment since April 10 - just to test it out and I lost more than 3 pounds since then (I was 195 lb on Apr 10). I will use April 13 as my first day of this challenge and finish it by July 21, 2013.

My weight (when I woke up in the morning) was 191.5 lb. I will come back to update my calorie tracker record before the end of my day.

This afternoon I spent 2 hours and talked to one of my best friends and we came up with a fitness plan for me. If I follow this along, my 100 day challenge will be well overcome.

        Here are some details:

Starting weight and body fat percentage: 191.5lbs, 30.8% (Apr 1, 2013)

        Target:

Main target is get to lose 145lbs and 15% body fat by Apr 15 2014
Based on current weight you need to lose 46lbs and 16% body fat in 1 year
Q1 Apr - Jun (Start April 13): 16 pounds and 5% body fat
Q2 Jul - Sep: 14 pounds and 4% body fat
Q3 Oct - Dec: 10 pounds and 4% body fat
        Q4 Jan - April 15: 6 pounds and 3% body fat

        Q1 Breakdown
End of April: Lose 4 pounds
        May: lose 6 pounds
        June: lose 6 pounds

He also suggested some exercises to me:

Workout 1 - Mon, Wed and Fri

        1. Warm-up on the bike for 10 mins
        2. Body weight squat 3 sets, 10-12 reps
        3A .Push-up - 3 sets 12-15 reps
        3B. Hip Raise - 3 sets 12-15 reps
        4A. Bent-over dumbbell row - 3 sets 12-15 reps
        4B. Plank 3sets 30 sec hold

Workout 2 - Tue, Thu, Sat

        Sunday is a break

I lost 50 pounds by cutting out sugar and most of the bread in my diet.

I was on the treadmill 30 minutes this morning too.

Tomorrow, I'll go ahead and turn it on. :-) LOL!

    Good luck on your journey!
