Just say no and be done with it...

Hey Fellow Warriors,

Been working on a new angle to get my time and energy better under control. Over the last year or two I've had a nagging sense about my inability to say “no” to people when they ask me to do things I don't really want to. I've only recently discovered what a drain fake yes's can be.

If you’re anything like me you might find it difficult to say no to the everyday people in your life. It could be the neighbor up the street, a member of any number of organizations you might belong to, or a family member. The list can become very long.

Feeling compelled to say yes to requests can lead to hidden resentment and stress that clogs your energy pathways. So this is what I decided to do.

I started politely turning down certain requests I would otherwise feel obligated to do. At first I took on the easiest requests to say no to. As time passed I began to ratchet up who and what I was willing to say no to.

In doing this found surprising relief from stress and pressure and uncovered many other benefits as well... less resentment, improved energy, clearer thinking, significantly more productive time to get real work done and more.

Perhaps you could give it a try. Start with the easiest requests to say no to and move up from there. Remember to be polite with everyone!

This has helped me a lot and I wanted to share my experience with you.

Hope it helps...
