The Science of getting rich

The Science of getting rich

'The science of getting rich is not by doing certain things, it's by doing things in a certain way' - Bob Proctor.

What are the real basics of improving your life? They are calmness and confidence. It's controlling yourself - this the core quality of a leader. We're wrapped up a whirlwind of circumstances that may seem to work in our favour while others do not. When you are controlling yourself, controlling your thoughts, you are controlling your emotions and your emotions control your body's vibrations which controls the way you act.

The science of getting rich is controlling what you put out because we know that what you put out is what you put in. You BECOME what you THINK about. We become what thoughts we think and internalize. If you think great, you will act great.

'If you want to make something happen, you've got to make it happen everyday' - Bob Proctor. The science of getting rich is waking up each morning, thinking and knowing that you are going to do it better than you've ever done it before.

With these thoughts, you will find new meaning everyday, you will be driven more and you will accomplish more.

The science of getting rich works in ratio with these 3 steps:

1. The need for what you do
2. Your ability to do it
3. The difficulty there is to replace you

If you do things a certain way, you are going to be very difficult to replace. There is ALWAYS opportunity for the person that MASTERS what they do.

The science of getting rich, is the science of our belief in our abilities.

Great words Or you can rephrase it "by doing certain things in a smart way"

There's an immense power in the way we, as humans, think. It can completely change our outlook on life, bring in new opportunities, and help overcome obstacles.

I seem to be on a roll of mentioning books tonight (just left a reply to another post about introverts/extroverts). A fascinating book all about the power of thought is: "Think And Grow Rich" by Napolian Hill.

Although the book's somewhat old, and in some ways Napolian's views are a tad outdated, it's a fascinating read and still very relevant today.

I hadn't realised Wallace Wattles wrote the book. One could argue that many versions of the book have been re-written over the years. But the underlying principles and message is still relevant today.

Mr. Proctor has sort of become the modern keeper of the "Master Key/New Thought" philosophy developed by Thomas Troward, Charles Hannel, and Wallace Wattles.

      Look up

The Edinburgh Lectures - The Edinburgh Lectures on Mental Science by Thomas Troward

Great stuff. Not for the faint of mindset heart. ;-)

Bahahahah lol, I still can't believe people actually listen and quote Bob Proctor, he's such a douche it's ridiculous.

Guys like this make me sick.

He only got rich by selling stuff for Earl Nightingale, basically he's no different to Tony Robbins. None of these guys got rich from a real business or being entrepreneurs, they got rich by selling motivational stuff without really ever achieving anything and then compounding that by speaking about becoming rich and successful (which they became by selling the very thing they are talking about).

It's so ridiculous. It's like hiring a boxing coach to teach you how to become successful at boxing but the guy has never boxed in his life, instead he has only trained in his life. Does it make him a bad trainer? No of course not, but it certainly does lead one to question the trainers authenticity and if the trainer is as good as what he is being paid for. And it certainly makes you wonder if your actually getting the goods from the guy that knows best or if your getting second hand knowledge...

Ive got both Tony Robbins and Bob Proctors stuff at home and it aint bad at all. The problem is that I have a real business, I dont need motivation, I prefer to give my money to someone that has done what im trying to do and then have them guide and mentor me, not someone that pumps me up full of motivation.

This is someone that is actually motivating cos he's been there and done it: http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...nal-story.html

Not some cheap a** suite wearing douche that stands up in front of crowds for his bread and butter telling people how wonderful life is and then asking for a few thousand dollars in return for smiling like a cheese ball and telling people how rich he is of their a**!

I understand where you're coming from, but some of the best teachers are people who never succeeded at what they teach. Their personal strength is in their ability to teach. Not everyone has that ability. What is success if it's not making the most of your abilities?

And yet, some people do need the motivation, or these folks would have never become as big as they have. They're filling a need, a niche, for a LOT of people. Because you see no value in it is not proof there IS no value in it for everyone else.

I agree with Dennis. Many accomplished Entrepreneurs still use motivational methods such as coaching, books, and mastermind groups. I guess it just speeds things up and keeps them more (well) motivated.

  • Those were a nice set of tips and encouraging concepts. Thank you for the post.

I found this statement much to my liking:
"There is ALWAYS opportunity for the person that MASTERS what they do."

I never looked at my work from that point of view, but that makes one heck of a lot of sense.
Thanks again for the guidance and different perspective.

Great point Dennis. Being a coach myself I often see exactly this very thing. I have clients that are far better at executing some specific things than I am but that's OK. My role is to guide them through their own minds and help them get past their mental limitations. A great example of this is professional athletes and the relationship to their coaches. Few, if any, golf coaches could out shoot Tiger Woods, and yet he still has a coach. Good stuff!

Getting rich is actually just math:

    $1 + $1 + $1 + $1 + infinity

But how we add the additional $ is more art than science.

  • That's the challenge of it, isn't it: first trying to find out what you love to do, then mastering it as it reveals itself to you. Time, over time.

I agree with being the master of what you do and one of the requirements of that charge is to make something happen every day towards your business, towards your success.
