Our thoughts can change our biochemistry

I just came across an interesting article that shows how our thoughts effect our beliefs and our physical bodies. After reading this article It just made me realize how important it is to take control of our beliefs and to feed our minds positive and fruitful beliefs that will help us grow, which will turn re-structure our biochemistry that is linked with our emotions and our physical bodies and can have a strong effect on us.

I recommend this article because it may give insight into some issues out there experienced by some warriors and help them take control and shift the tides in their favour.

it is as much if not more the other way around .

By learning to support and listen to my body about what it want and does not want ..and learning what foods herbs and spices ..i have found it far easier to get in a positive mental state ..or rebound from rough patches .

placebo is a factor ..but if you think badly about the food you put in you body and punish yourself ..your mental state and your physiology will suffer ..

become aware of what is negatively effecting your physiology and think of ways to protect yourself or take out the irritant .from food you ingest to the air you breath to the amount of sunlight you get or sleep ..

somehow our modern culture has found a way to stress us out and get us to fear it all ..

and much of the info has been lies ..

I have rapid cycling bi polar disorder and autism spectrum conditions ..with a dozen other little thing that are rather annoying ..all the positive thinking in the world didn't help until I began supporting and working with and learning to listen to my biochemistry ..and really i have only been doing it for 8 months ..with great results so far .

I think you have a good point there Odahh,

By "listening" to what our body wants, it can have a positive impact on our psychological state and our physical well-being. I have been doing this for the past 2 months,

I noticed when I eat foods like brown rice, baby spinach, steamed vegetables, chicken, I can feel my body thanking me for it. though when I eat hot food like fried scallops or calamari, I can feel my body wanting me to stop eating foods that are unhealthy including chips, which I have to eat very rarely now.

do you cook your own food ? myself i can't eat red meat anymore i am 35 and prior too 7-9 month ago i was consuming some type of red meat almost daily ..i don't eat anything deep fried any more but pan fried in olive oil or baked..making the marinade myself and grinding up bread crumbs fresh .

much less stuff from boxes .

also the only liquids i buy are my coffee daily . a gallon of local spring water ..and a carton of almond milk .

i can hit bliss when i make a salad cook up some of the ingredient and make my own dressing it tastes good and it feels good when it hits my stomach .

and the last month ..watermelon has become nature perfect snack food for me and my parents .

part of it is the high fructose corn syrup has a real negative effect on my mental clearity ..that sugar does not..but i have moved away from sugar accept in the store bought coffee. which i should give up..but it is my one food vice right now .

the next big step will when i get on my own getting a juicer and a grain mill ..so i can grind flour fresh and make my own bread and pasta ...there is a huge difference in the feeling after eating home made pasta and bread from store bought .

also unrelated to the food as you take control of what goes in you body and to a great extent what goes in your mind ..your biochemistry responds and become much better as regenerating , immune system function ,and even muscle tone ..sleep is used by the body to shut the brain down.. to repair the body.. the better you feel and treat the body ..the harder it will be to sleep . because you will not have the need .

one of the reasons i study marketing ..is as a personal defense and awareness of how and when negative beliefs are getting implanted .

building a mental immune system keeps the stress levels down . and when you figure out how many of your beliefs are the result of marketing ..it become easier to fix them

        @Odahh

Oh absolutely, I love cooking my own food, not to mention I snack on cashews and almonds, even bananas and lychees, jackfruit, I love them all because it gives my body the nourishment it needs, also has a positive effect on my mind.

        @ Gary Ning Lo

I agree, we must look after our body and our thoughts in order to maintain a high state of productivity.

        @lastinglifesuccess

I love it! good advice and you're correct our emotional state has a connection with our physical body, for example stress = sickness our body feels sickened by this emotion, joy = health our body boosts and replenishes itself.

Yes I can understand when we set a goal that is very high! we will still end up with a very high result regardless if we just hit it short!

    Thanks for the share.

What we focus on and how we move our body definitely affects our emotions and actions.

    Cheers,

    • Thoughts, beliefs, physical outcomes: there is a solid connection among each of these states. One leads to another so if it is in your field of influence choose the most uplifting mental attitude possible.

Best always to reach for the almost impossibly good outcome. Then when one falls somewhat short of the goal, the landing is in a very nice place anyway.

Thanks for the thought provoking post.

Maybe this is why some people say" It's all in the mind"? Because I think if you think healthy, you feel healthy or encourage to eat healthy and to have a healthy lifestyle. It's more of getting positive vibes in order to have a happy or pleasant disposition. Although I believe that it is important to "listen" to what your body is telling you like"tired, burn out, exhausted".

This is why it’s very important that we learn how to release stress before it consumes us and turn into depression. We should dismiss the negative things and if we can’t, we need to resort our bodies in states that can help lightening our moods. Meditating is a very good example.

That's an excellent example you provided there! please Meditation can also relax your nervous system, and help improve focus and concentration as I mention in this article and also there have been reports of it dispelling fears.

Very true, OP. Rejecting one's own excessively negative thinking is extremely important when seeking to have success or even just to feel decent (and hopefully even good) in life.

Mind is very powerful, it is more powerful than the physical body.

Remember, your physical body is temporary but your soul is pretty permanent (that's what I believe).

Focus on filling yourself up with positive thoughts.
