Is what I was told all throughout high school.

Screw that.. I'm worth more than they could ever imagine

If anyone ever tells you that you can't succeed, you're wasting your time, or that you're worthless...

Let it be.

And prove them wrong

We all are worth something. The problem is not so much as others telling us that we are worthless. It is us, believing ourselves to be so. What others think of us are of little consequence compared to what we think of ourselves.

the system was designed to make people accept a very small amount of money for their time ..and turn them into little compliant robots.

I have autism spectrum conditions ..the system was what was broken not me ..but for my life ..i have wasted to much time trying to be more normal and to fit in .

i am only to months into the whole mindset of not trying to fix what the world thinks i am doing wrong but ..to be myself an work on what i need to work on to be a better me ..

now my family is pretty slow to catch on ..and that annoys me .. but the response from everything else ..not everyone ..everything . is well beyond the law of attraction teachings ..

I would call it more the law of intent ..the law of attraction will beat you up untill you figure out who you are and what you want ..and once you Settle in to be who you are and intend to be more of who you are ..heaven and earth will move to form the path you create as you move .

People will always have a say on things and the sad part is, most of them will agree with the majority when truthfully, they really don’t. People will love and hate you so to keep you going, keep the positive vibes and release the negative ones before they consume you.

    • Justin,

Many of us were probably told we were worthless one time or another growing up whether it was the result of a cruel family member or an insensitive teacher, instructor or boss. That's life I guess, but we don't have to buy into it. Instead we work to succeed!

        You're in good company. : )

A young Albert Einstein was thought to be mentally retarded by his parents, and his grades in school were so poor that one teacher suggested that he drop out saying: “Einstein, you will never amount to anything!”

He went on to be regarded as the most important scientist of the 21st century and awarded the 1921 Nobel Peace Prize for physics.

A wonderful message from LastingLifeSuccess. I totally agree with you. You can either chose to fit in or leave the system. What we can do is change the condition because I believe it is not a situation but rather a nasty condition. Work to succeed and face the challenge everyday.

I was "diagnosed" with ADHD at a very young age which caused them to put me on multiple medications.. all causing me to be someone I wasn't.

They took me off around the age of 13 or 14 and immediately after I started having side effects, primarily depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and other things that have since had lasting effects.

I also have slight dyslexia and many people say I write background (I don't notice it) and because of it for some reason I haven't been able to properly write out math but I can answer it by doing the math in my head.

From what I've experienced.. I'm glad I have both but there's also a downside in the fact that people sometimes think I'm stupid because I do things differently.

      Society just needs to adapt..

i have given up on society adapting but i won't tolerate this sick and twisted society we have .thinking it has the right to make me feel bad for being the way i am ..

I have autism spectrum disorder and bi polar disorder and at least a half dozen other things ..and the two where not diagnosed untill 4 1/2 years ago between it sucked going through most of my life trying to figure it out but by the time both where diagnose i was a total mess and the first med helpped for a while then caused a horrible anxiety disorder ..

i got of that meds a few years ago but not after putting 50 pounds on in 2 1/2 years ..

I am done trying to "fix myself to please the sick people who think they are normal.. i will be me and get better where it makes me a better me

the biggest side effect of all of it .. is the anger about it all the years chasing ghosts trying to figure things out ..

one thing that has helped is taken control of what i eat ..

adhd is cant do boring *(*& disorder . so the broken system trying to make you agree to a low value based on being able to do boring repeatable tasks hours and hours at a time ..blames the kids ..

wait untill the sick people running the system want to retire and have those they told where broken and needed to be drugged to fit in the system support them ..

i don't need anger management. i manage to be plenty angry about this

Cheers to that! Unfortunately a lot of schools teach very specific skills, and if you aren't good at those they say you won't succeed at anything in life. Fortunately, there are a ton of worthwhile skills that schools don't cover. It's too bad education systems don't spend more time trying to find what each student is good at and helping push them in that direction.

the school system was set up by the industrialists to teach common people to do mindless work for 8 10 12 hours a day .. never ask questions and always do what they are told ..

those who don seem to fit in the average get abused and devalued and made to feel worthless as a function of the design of the system ..not a bug ..sending children to school is the worst form of child abuse ..how many waste so much time in the classroom and end up with no skills at all .

why do we accept a system that fails to teach people any marketable skills for 13 years and then expect them to shell out money and go in debt to go to college do get marketable skills ..

we whine and complain and thing spend 10k per student is to much.. but when they get out with no skills and have to rob people to live .. we have no trouble paying 35-70k a year locking them up for 3-7,10 years or how ever long ..

as Gandi said ..when asked about western civilization .. we should try it some time ...

The only real value I received from school was up until the 5th grade. After that is was mainly a repeat of the same information in a different format.

School can be a great thing to help a child learn to read, write, speak properly, and understand the world in a basic view.

But after they have those skills only a few really even use the extra knowledge they are provided.

Evenso... I graduated lowest in my class and most of those that graduated highest in my class are either working at McDonalds, JCPenny, or spending all of their parents money on a college education that from what I have seen of those that have graduated alongside me aren't even using..

besides facebook that i never really look at i don't have any contact to those i went to school with .

going through school everyone knew i was very intelligent..it was just a matter i could not apply it in school ..it was the wrong way for me to learn .

there was just a lot of damage from the bullying and the isolation as i never fit in much with anyone ..and i ended up in jobs that never really put it to use .

I have learned a hell of a lot more looking for the answers to many of the problems in my life ..and from any problem on a test . in any course .

my learning process is based of a need to know . and being able to place a value on the time spent learning something ..with the payoff for learning it .

I can't say I was ever told I was worthless- but I used to tell myself that a lot in middle school.

I was overweight, my family was broken, and I really only had 1 good friend.

The funny thing was... I also had the highest grades in my class, was the tallest kid on my basketball team, and was the best person I knew at video games.

Everyone has value in their strengths- the key is to not look at your weaknesses all the time, and not listen to the jerks whose only strength comes from feeding on the weaknesses of others.

Hahaha I love this. I was told the same thing. Only as I never really cared for high school.

To the untrained eye I was a day dreamer. But really I was visualizing where I want my life to go. It was for sure not where they were trying to make me.

Im well on my way to picking up one of my younger siblings in an Audi R8 and just giving everyone a condescending grin as if to say " I told you so!"

As an entrepreneur, I tend to tackle a lot of different projects. Some fail and some succeed. Some don't even see the light of day.

I would often talk about all of my current and planned projects to friends and family with a rush of excitement, but I wouldn't say much about them if I failed to finish them or take them as far as I could. Over time, people started to brush off my aspirations.

That's when I realized that there was more yappin' than action!

Entrepreneurs get excited about stuff. It's a natural thing. Hell, the next project always feels like it's going to be "the next big thing," right? The blood is pumping and the adrenaline is high. It's hard not to say anything.

But if you're doing more talking than doing, it's going to get old after some time. No one is going to listen. And yeah, people may start to discourage you (especially those who don't understand the entrepreneurial lifestyle and mindset). They may not even mean to do it. It's just that they "don't get it".

Now, I'm much less vocal with my projects. In fact, I rarely tell anyone what I'm working on until it's finished! Not like I have anything to prove to begin with, but actions definitely speak MUCH louder than words.

Still, you shouldn't let anyone discourage you from doing what you want to do. Even if it takes days, months or years, anything is truly possible.

Don't be the guy or gal who just "shares" their aspirations. Be the one who is working hard every single day to make them become a reality.
