The Fundamentals Of Becoming Entrepreneur And Learning From Entrepreneur
And that includes your friends and family unless one or some of them are entrepreneurs.
Truth be told, most of the teachers only teach based on what they learn on paper from THEIR teachers. Other than their degree/diploma qualifications, they have no real life experience and results to show for in marketing. That includes certain trainers employed by certain sales companies.
And even if you learn from the master, you have to forget everything you know or think you know about marketing. Sure you can tell him or her you know this and that during the meet and greet introduction. Although he will smile and agree with everything you say, that is just plain courtesy considering this is his first meeting with you.
BUT THAT'S IT.
Once you and your master aka mentor get down to business planning, you have to throw away everything you know out of the window and start listening and doing what your mentor tells you.
If he asks you to go out and meet people, you go out and meet people. If he asks you to do surveys, you do surveys.
If he says SEO sucks and asks you to focus on social media and list building, you forget SEO and focus on social media and list building.
The same goes when you are being mentored by a SEO or paid traffic expert. You followed his business model to achieve success.
You might not like it. I also don't like it. But that is the way it is and is all part of learning process.
That also reminds me of a 1984 movie scene in the old Karate Kid whereby Mr Miyagi asks Daniel to paint the wall instead of teaching him karate which Daniel needs to learn in order to beat his school bully and get his girl.
