What Opposes Motivation In Your Life, Broken Drivers?

Much has been written and discussed about our motivational drivers. What key things keep us moving forward to meet new goals?

But has anyone identified the opposing factors to becoming and staying motivated?

I would be very interested to hear what others are thinking about this idea of identifying things that hold us back.

Personally, I think that "self limits" are one of the biggest obstacles that hold us back - the tricky part is, they can be masked through so many different facets that seem external... excuses, stories about why something isn't how it should be, placing blame on others, etc...

It seems like, whenever I've caught my "biggest" breaks, I've been in a place of really allowing things to come my way... a place where I'm not being all that specific, mostly open - I can think of maybe occasions where I planned and planned and planned and planned... only to have an opportunity come out of left-field, where all I had to do was show up with my skills to benefit and say yes - fascinating.

The best motivating force is the one that comes from within you. The outside forces that motivate you tend to be short lived.

The main force that opposes your inner motivation is your belief system. When you take care of your belief system you will be motivated from within and help you reach what ever you want in your life.
