If I DIE TODAY...
Anytime this thought comes to my mind, the next question that follows immediately is: Who will it affect most and what can I do to cushion the effect if I have more time to live?
Firstly I have a loving wife and 3 young children aged between 7 and 12.
As you probably have guessed, I am their sole provider in everything - accommodation, feeding, education, medical and all means of livelihood - their happiness!
So the question again is - What will become of these people if I die today?
These are the thoughts and questions that keep pushing me everyday and get me inspired and motivated to keep doing better everyday than the previous days!
When I am almost frustrated by any obstacle, I refuse to give up.
Instead I retrace my steps and check what I am not doing right.
I seek help from people around who have gone through such obstacles before.
I decided to create more hours for myself in 1day by reducing the number of hours I spent in watching my favorite sport, soccer on the television.
I made a decision to stay healthy by avoiding cholesterol induced and other junk food. I live more on vegetables and fruits and that has helped me stay in good shape.
I create time to exercise my body because I realised that you can only do anything if you are in good health.
I reduced the time spent on forums, chat rooms, and other places I was addicted to.
I set aside specific time for reading and responding to emails.
Once I learnt anything new, I take immediate action and put it into practice.
I learnt not to start my day without a to-do list and remain focused.
I also learnt to help people who are less privileged than me without expecting anything in return.
I recycled most of the profits from my business back into the business and keep learning under successful people.
I have learnt to diversify my business into different streams
Whenever I think again about my family, I jumped out of my procrastinating mood.
Today, I am a better man for taken the above steps and able to provide good quality life for myself and my family.
Lest I forget, I took life insurance too.
So, If I die today, I will die with a smile on my face.
If you read this far, feel free to share 'that thing' in your life that will inspire you to decide to stay alive and do better than you are doing today.
Cheers, Laurence.
