If I must choose, and I do it moment by moment, I must also have Values by which this is made possible. And what is a personal Value? It is simply the amount of happiness a person expects will emerge from an object or idea once he possesses it.
Some particular thing is of greater value to the user than another because that person “believes” he will get more happiness from one than the other. And the reason he automatically values some things more than others is “because he can’t have them all”.
