If I Added This One Step, Then My Motivation Will Expand

One of the central pillars of developing as an Internet Marketer is the concept of setting and achieving both short and long term Goals. We quickly discover that a written plan is something that doesn’t go away and will help achieve one’s goals.

Common to one’s short and long term goal setting is the idea of journaling to insure quality performance over the long run. You may or may not do this, but it is Always recommended to any serious “getter of things done”.

The simple added step I am speaking about concerning the expansion of your motivation is this: Review Your Work. Yes, always Review Your Work.

We do this for two reasons. The first is the fact that through reviewing formerly achieved goals, we discover where we might have missed the mark going through the processes of finishing those goals. This gives us the insight not to repeat any downfalls we experience as a result of achieving our mission.

The second reason is the elation we feel when we not only remember the fact that we actually managed to accomplish a set out goal, but we did it in a particular amount of time. And we get to see how much we have advanced our overall long term goals by those efforts. This is very pleasurable, happyville, positive motivational reinforcement.

Then on top of it I go out and buy myself a treat especially for me.

PS. Wasn’t kidding about daily journaling to support one’s motivation. You would be mightily surprised how much the notion of writing down what you get done in a day in the real world can do for your ability to get even more of it done tomorrow.

    so true!
Keeping on eye on past achievements is awesome (for the two reasons you mentioned), and journaling helps with that.
Do you use a specific platform (perhaps an online journaling system) or just pen and paper? I'm more inclined towards the old pen and paper for journaling, but I'm working whether there is an amazing online tool that we should know about!

    Cheers

I still write my to-do list in pen and paper. I also have a journal so I can keep track of my works. It's really inspiring to read my success stories and it's a good way to let me continue working hard.

can't beat pen and paper, can you?
Very true, there's so much power in our own success stories! It's great to give ourselves credit for what we've done! We all tend to be too harsh on ourselves...!
