How Successful Have You Been So Far This Year In Achieving Your Goals?

At the time of creating this post it's the last week in August 2013.

How successful have you been in achieving your goals this far personally and professionally?

This isn't about what you 'think' it should be based on solid evidence. In other words, you had some goals that you set a timeline against and you've come out good, or, the plans are progressing as expected.

Personally, I made some and I missed some, and I'm in the process of re-planning so by the end of September everything that needs to be done to finish the year on a high note is documented, and I can give to my mastermind group to hold me accountable during those last 90 days of the year as I'll do for them.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being great, I'd rate myself a 6 or 7 and now that it's public you can bet I'm going to want to come back and give an update that's much better.

How about you? How would you score yourself on a scale of 1 - 10? and what do you need to do to move things in a more productive or rewarding direction before 2013 runs out?

i constantly set daily and weekly goals and i do whatever i can to reach and break those goals. it has consistently helped me to move forward in the IM world and make slow and steady progress. i never believed it before, but as soon as i started reading and listening to books by brian tracy, tony robbins, and other self help gurus out there, i swear by goal setting. for all of you out there that are saying that goals are dumb and that writing down goals is stupid when you can keep them in your head. TRY IT OUT. i will admit i am a HUGE lazy guy, and i procrastinate all of the time whenever i can. but when i started writing down my goals and i saw it everyday, it reminded me to do what i can to reach it. i see my goals every morning and before bed and like i said, it's helped me to progress tremendously in the past 6 months.

i would score myself an 8 out of 1o on my own productivity.
so to sum it up, write small goals down.
and live by these words: successful people do what they need to do. when they need to do it. whether they feel like it or not. guaranteed to see progress.

  • I like that you used a public announcement to keep your feet to the psychological fire. Good for you.

I would rate myself a 5 mostly based on my creativity and steadfastness toward my craft.

So far this year I say 6.45. I still have a few more months to bring that number up to at least a 9.
