YES! It IS your Fault....

How any times have you seen an email hit your inbox reassuring you "that it's not your fault."

It's the guru's fault, the economies fault, it's the presidents fault.

Telling someone it's not their fault is a persuasion tactic that gives someone power and influence over you if you choose to accept "its not your fault as your reality"

The worst part, is that this little innocent phrase is dis-empowering, Leading you to believe that something outside of you is controlling your life.

SO screw it why even try..

Well I'm here to tell you that it IS your fault.

Why is it, that someone can go from being a broke farm kid, to becoming one of the richest people in the world.

While a person born into a wealthy family, can end up broke, in jail and on drugs.

Why is it that 1 Lawyer can come from nothing and become super successful, while another lawyer who has been given everything can fail.

Being a doctor or a lawyer doesn't guarantee you'll have a ton of money.

Why is it that some internet marketers are millionaires, while others struggle to make even a single sale.

It's YOU!

You decide if you have what it takes.

You decide if you are willing to learn and master the basics.

You decide if you are going to take action.

You decide if you are going to listen to the person who has actually done it, or the person who rehashed it from some course they bought...

the question is not "is it possible"

The question is are you willing to stop making excuses. Are you willing to accept the fact that you will make mistakes. and you will need to improve your skills.

If you setup a website, send some traffic to it, and not get a single subscriber.

Will you quit and say well that doesn't work..

Or will you say, "what did I do wrong, and how can I improve it"

almost 7 years ago, I created my first squeeze page. I got a whopping 4% conversion rate...

Now I can command 50-70% opt in rates and get a flood of sales anytime I want

What if I would of said, well that doesn't work. Woe is me...

I better go buy another product....

Realize that making money online is a business. It needs to be treated like a business, you will need to master some skills. And yes you will even make mistakes.

if you quit, and blame everyone else for your failures and struggles. Then yes the problem is you, and it is your fault.

This is the truth, but the truth is painful. Don't use it in your marketing campaigns. If you want to say the truth in a world of hypocrites, you have to be diplomatic.

This is more like a Mind Warriors - Success, Power, Self-Improvement post.
And it's your fault to post it in the main section.

It's the truth and it will sell if you attach the right self improvement product to it. Since it is you who decides upon all those factors listed in the original statement you can simply end it by saying are you now ready to make the right decision to bring you the success you want and deserve?
Of course I haven't tried it out but I would be curious if it would work out.

Every entrepreneur who has ever made tons of money in IM knows that he or she IS the reason success happens.

Prospects might know. But it makes them feel warm and fuzzy - when someone tells them, "It's not your fault!" It helps them lower their guard and listen (or read) a little closer.

At the end of the day...

Our mindset is the subjective intangible that makes objective success possible (or elusive.)

I disagree with Raydal. This absolutely belongs in the main section. Because you CAN'T separate mind from reality (or results... or a lack of results.)

When someone REALLY gets that, magic happens. And then they'll stop feeling like life happens to them...

...and starts realizing, "It is my fault! And now I GET it!"

You know I argue the point about theads and where they belong all the time, in my mind most belong here because at the end of the day it's about making money and this thread is about making money no matter what is injected into it.

I don't know if I TOTALLY agree with you or whom, but the whole consarned thing makes sense, any way you put it. If it hurts, it still makes sense, no matter what you do.

You are the one responsible for success, along with your mindset. I USED TO think it was luck. I now know luck is B.S. and what I make of it is what it is. Luck is totally BS and I will not hear of luck anymore. When you think of luck, this is looking at the shellac on the "fruit display" and NOT going INSIDE the fruit and eating the meaty insides of the fruit.

Nobody with a load of confusion, fear, and self-doubt jumps up, takes action, and makes global decisions. But they do buy hope.

Telling people they're 100% responsible can pump them up--"Hey, you're right. I bet I can be strong and follow through this time!"

But ten minutes later they're feeling anxious about step one, which they will resolve by researching what marketers are doing to succeed at step 167, their first $1000 payday. Suddenly, they're not so sure they're ready after all.

Back to massive distraction, excuses, and blame to cover up knowing it IS their fault.

That's why tough love is mostly found in boot camp surroundings with 24/7 cameras, support, and external rewards. All the boot camp "reality" shows operate this way.

It doesn't work so well when participants go back to real reality.

And that's why the best way to make us own personal responsibility is to focus more on intrinsic motivation and rewards.

        Cheers,

My favorite saying about luck is that "Luck is when opportunity meets preparation."

You have zero control over when opportunities show up, but you have total control over - and responsibility for - how you prepare for those opportunities.

To move forward, you have to accept your mistakes and learn to forgive yourself. That is the first step if you want to change something or achieve your goals. We should know how to take responsibility for our actions if we want to be a better person, not just in our work but our lives entirely.

Wow 50 to 70 percent opt in rates that is awesome. I do feel that too many people play the victim and blame people other than themselves. At some point you just have to realize that you are where you are in your life because of the choices you have made. Its a very tough pill to swallow but it needs to happen if you are every going to have a chance at being successful.

Excellent article by Mark Manson: The Prime Belief

There is a belief from which all other positive beliefs flow. This is the prime belief. This is the belief that you are responsible for everything you do in your life, no matter the external circumstances. The belief that regardless of the situation, our decisions are our responsibility.

Until a person has adopted this belief, change is impossible, and all negative beliefs will remain cemented in place.

    • Everybody has problems. Problems exist for us to solve - not to blame somebody for.

Is a problem your fault? Who. Fricken. Cares??

Just forget about fixing the blame (which is pointless), and focus on fixing the problem. Jeez!
