The Body In Action Is The "Yes" . . . .

I know the headline above is obviously simple. But what does it mean exactly?

Many many of us are forever searching for the perfect motivational tool. We seek the method that best drives us towards our current goal. Well, there is an ultra simple way to move forward if one is willing.

Keep your eye on your body. Allow it to present to you the simplest of feedback loops which provide rock solid information as to the progress with which one is moving toward said goal. It is beyond "obvious" the less physical movement one is expressing, the less gets done. And I am speaking of actual physical tasks that are goal critical. Keep an accounting of this.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am not saying thinking and planning is a bad thing. No, that is what has to happen along the way towards goal creation. But the actual goal achieving requires the body to play a major roll in the "Action" department.

Keep an eye, day to day, on the movement of your body. See and even record on paper what your body's actions are throughout the day, the week, the month, record even the mundane things required for good health like eating and exercising. See where your "Body Action" time is being spent.

When all is said and done, if you don't see your body action oriented towards the completion of your IM goal, it's time to redouble your effort to set yourself free of "imaginary work" and get down to engaging the body to do what you set out to do.
