Feeling highly demotivated

Any tips. Feeling highly depressed and demotivated after my business partner committed a fraud with me. I can't be able to be sure of whats going to happen in the future. Can't just plan or dream anything since. Any tips to overcome such feelings?

Remember that the story happening around you is not you. There's your life and then there's the story. Don't identify yourself with that story.

Things happen and then there's you. Whatever 'you' is can't be affected by every story that happens.

This is what leads to an inspiring story, that is you.

This has got me through several problems with fraud, deception and broken trust. Just refuse to identify with the depressing story happening around you.

"“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward.

This can be your defining moment. Whatever lesson you take from it will carve your destiny.
You are not a product of your circumstances. You are a product of your decisions.

I would like to quote Stephen covey here.
"Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it".

This is not the end. it's a beginning of a new journey.

Learn from your mistakes and move on!

well if you are in pakistan .. sorry if this advice will seem bigoted and such ..

but print out about 100 pictures of the guy who did this to you .. go somewhere where you can get your hands on a high powered fire arm .. and spend a few hours of target practice ..take a few pictures of yourself ..

print out the pictures and the puts the bullet hole ridded pictures in a file and the picture of you on top ..and make sure the other guy get the folder .. or put the folder off to the side .

I am not saying to hurt him .. but simulated violent acts can be very usful in healing

Not sure if letting the person live in your head this much is the best way to go. The person who wronged you doesn't deserve to have this much control over your thoughts.

Learn what is to be learned from the experience and move on.

control ..a few hours of venting ..where no one really gets hurt
..can be productive .. learn the lesson now and move on .

some parts of asia .. they fill a room full of cheap breakable stuff and people pay to go in and break everything and get certain things out .

the key is to find a way to vent the anger and hurt now .. in a way that doesn't make things worse .

prevent this from happening again ..and figure out how to move on

I'm not sure if this will help, but this is what I tell myself when something bad happens:
"I know that it seems bad right now, but this bad thing might just be payment for something equally good (or better!) that's coming my way. If I can get through this, good things are sure to follow."

That's what helps to keep me going. I hope that it can help you as well! ^_^

When in doubt ponder. When feeling demotivated, it is time to create a todo list if you don't have one already and focus your attention to it.

The only thing that you can do is Move On and raise your standards so your next business partner doesn't do this to you again.

You need to focus on where you are going, not what's happened to you in the past.

This one keeps me going when I take a hit. Try asking yourself out loud to present the silver lining.

Watch some stand up comedy. What you need is a good laugh. It would change your perspective. Works for me.
