Here's finally what ended my procrastination habbit

I used to procrastinate a lot. I was so annoyed with my habbit that i used every method to get rid of this issue. After struggling with it for years, i came across a unique method to kill procrastination. Then, i refined it and till date, i use it for myself.

Revelation - Procrastination occurs when your unconscious think something "may" going to hurt you. In the past, something bad happened to you and now, unconscious is putting blocks in your way (result is procrastination)

1) Close your eyes and ask "Why i am not doing what i should be doing? I promised myself i will do this and now i am not doing it. tell me my true self, why you dont want me to do it? Why you are doing this?"

2) Focus for 5 minutes and concentrate. You will get a response. Most of the time, you will get a true answer. You will be amazed to know that your unconscious want to save you.

3) Ask again "What moment of my life conveyed you this message?"

4) Write it down. Now, edit it and make it perfect.

5) Tell this to yourself "I want my unconscious to understand, this .... (activity) is good for me and i want full support of my soul to accomplish this task in future"

Let me give an example

I want to go to gym and have great body. But, i procrastinated a lot. So, here's process for me

1) Close your eyes and ask "Why i am not doing what i should be doing? I promised myself i will do this and now i am not doing it. Tell me my true self, why you dont want me to do it? Why you are doing this?"

Answer - Nah!! you dont want to do this. Last time, you did this when you were 17yrs old. You stopped going to gym after 2 days and everybody in family laughed at you. You felt really bad. Thats why i dont want you to go.

Now, i will write on clean piece of paper. "I am 17 years old. I decided to go to gym. I went there for full 30 days, before i told my family, my exams are coming and i want to stop gym. Everybody accepted my decision and i am feeling so good to see their warmth, love and support for me.

(I know this is lie, but your unconscious doesnt know about it. Just write this story and you will feel so much relaxed. You are just rewiring your brain.)

5) Tell this to yourself "I want my unconscious to understand, this .... (activity) is good for me and i want full support of my soul to accomplish this task."

Now, underneath this story, write "I want my unconscious to understand, Gym is good for me and i want full support of my soul to accomplish this task"

That's it. Works wonder for me.

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this. I've been fighting this problem myself for many years, and had adopted the brute force approach.

I tried this just now however and it let me to a real revelation. I actually had a "Holy S**t" moment!

    Thank you!

Glad it helped you. Dont fight with your unconscious. Instead work with your unconscious to see why you are doing certain things in your life.

Enjoyed your post. I guess one of the best ways to overcome procrastination is to be aware that it exists in ones life and take specific steps to overcome it. All of us would accomplish more today if we did not put off until tomorrow the really important things of today!

Procrastination used to be a big issue for me as well.

I analysed why I procrastinated, and for me it was the feeling of discomfort and generally fearing to take action.

Started cold showers, been taking them for the past couple months, almost everyday and have built a tolerance to discomfort. Procrastination has reduced by a LOT, motivation and productivity through the roof.

    Awesome tips!

These works for setting daring goals, something which you've never did before, like starting a site, or creating an info-product, isn't it?
