vision, mission and plan. How?

When we are at the stage we have nothing with us. No money, work and nowhere to go and we even can't find a way to choose. How can we have a vision at this stage. This is what me and my friend argued about.
"How can we have a vision when we don't have anything to eat?", he said. "We need a miracle to guide us to a proper path first then we can think of a vision." he added. But I think one should have a vision even they don't have anything or anyway.

    In the scriptures, we are taught,"faith without works is dead" Set your goals and begin the process of moving forward, even if progress is slow, and eventually if you don't give up, good things will begin to happen.
    What I just stated is easy for me to say because I have "food on the table" but I have gone thru tough times in my life and we must just keep moving forward even if we are not sure how we are going to get to our "desired goals"
    We all understand that giving up will take us no where. YOU CAN DO IT. Have a great day.

    now if you are in that state in a developing country ..but when you are at that point where you have nothing to lose ..the only thing that can keep you going is a vision of much better things ..or having enough to numb the pain some how ..

    i have been willing to go homeless ..but my parents needed me ..and taking care of them sucked my energy dry.. but day by day by day.. i have been buildin and rebuilding and rebuilding and starting fresh ..

    eventually the vision begings to pull you toward it and calls to you ..and wakes you up at night and pushes you to the point of being willing to do nearly anything ..legal.. to take the steps ..

    my fiance in the philippines is risking losing her home now because her work has been shut down sense the big hurricane ..and right now i have nothing .. to my own name . and we are both going through the same issues with the people around us ..

    but we now have a vision of where we want to go and what business we want to be in or businesses .. and she even mentioned wanting a yellow Lamborghini .

    if you have vision ..it is at least something ..most very wealthy people only decided to become rich when they lost everything and realized it took the same effort to be rich or have just enough..but rich focus that effort with direction. those who barely survive worry to much about paying the 200 dolar cable bill to ever be where that can build themselves a 50,000 dollar in home movie theater .

    and if you are wondering the movie theater will be on owr boat we use to go back and forth between our Caribbean beach houses ..

    ...now to cook some rice and chicken

    If one does not have secure access to shelter or food, then it seems to me that one's vision, mission and plan, at that point should be to secure shelter and food. One those are achieved then move higher up on Maslow's hierarchy of need.
