Hello guys, its going to be new year in few hours and many are already making lists.Lists of do's and dont's of 2014.
But come to think of it,can you stop that habit which you're unable to stop in 365 days just in a day?...is it that easy? Do you think after one week of not doing it, you'll be able to continue the second, third and fourth week?...in my submission I don't think its possible.
to start or stop any habit, you'll need to enforce it the moment you deem it fit,not on a certain date.If I know smoking is bad on the 4th of may, immediately I should stop it,I don't have to wait till 1st of January.
Also if I see the need to give more alms as at 15th of august,I'm also supposed to start that immediately. The moment you see a need for change, that same moment change should start.
New year Goals and resolutions for me is a no-no...
what do you think?

I think that the only way to stop with your bad habits is by having a deep burning desire to change. It all starts with a spark inside. 2014, I am ready.

Interesting idea guys, the real problem with resolutions is that the habit you want to develop isn't incorporated in your lifestyle.

The burning desire can help too, but usually it burns you out before you even reach the end of the 2nd week.

The formula I've found to sticking with resolutions is having commitment and being clear about what the goal should look like. Once you get these two ideas, succeeding with resolutions (and any other habit you want to build) become second nature.

You can learn the process about keeping your New Year's Resolutions here.

Have a great year guys, wish you all the best in 2014.

I believe you can. All change happens in an instant. It make take time to work up to it but when it happens it happens right then.
