Marriage causes more stress than firing from job??

I read this chart ,in that stress level for marriage is 50 and the stress level for firing from job is 47.strange!!

      "New familymember" ranks definitely higher than just 39 in my life...

      But I think it totally depends on the marriage or on the people in general. Some take stress easier and from different things than others. I think you cannot generalize that very much.

      And if you have been very unsatisfied with your job, firing shouldn't stress you too much... I think...

  • I don't think that chart is really accurate. Stress levels vary depending on the situation and how a person handles stress. Sometimes a pregnancy can be more stressful than getting fired, especially if it's unexpected or unwanted. The holidays can also be really stressful especially if you take on a lot of responsibility during that time. Many happily married couples turn to their spouses for support and stress relief. And if you're the type of person who can't handle stress, a paper cut would probably give you the same level of stress as getting fired.
