    Hi,

    I love The Secret.

    Rocky is great too.

Really, a nice jolt of high energy music can get me going.

Overall though my motivation is intrinsic, and simply seeing my vision in quiet drives me to do what I do.

    Good share!

  • Rudy is my favorite too!!! It's not just because he succeeded despite all the odds, it's how he inspired the rest of his family (younger siblings, nieces and nephews) to aspire for more. In the process of going after his dream, he helped a lot of people expand their horizons and reach for bigger things.

if you want to have a very different kind of motivational experience watch Black (an Indian Movie). It is a pristine cinematic experience with a brilliant story - that will enrich your life in many ways.

See what others are saying here; Black (2005) - IMDb

I recently watched it after many years, and hope some of you watch it too.

get the one with English sub title though.

For me, the most inspiring movies are those that show a person doing big things. Such movies usually include someone who has less that what I have, but still manages to achieve more than what I've achieved. They remind me how vicious the self-limiting boundaries are and how important the faith is. Basically, they show me what is possible if I wasn't limiting myself.

    Such movies include:
Nolan's Batman/Dark Knight, Fight Club, Inception, It's a Wonderful Life, Limitless, Mr. Nobody, Revolver, Scent of a Woman, Seven Pounds, The Pursuit of Happyness, The Shawshank Redemption and V for Vendetta.

I agree with every single one of these (that I've seen).

I'd add "What the Bleep do we Know" to the list - the original, not the "quantum" version.

The Disney version of Hercules was a pretty motivational movie in my opinion. Even though Hercules had a lot of strength he still had to train his mind and master his strength to really become Hercules the Hero.

I pretty much am inspired by any "Zero to Hero" story.

Pursuit of Happiness was very inspiring and Will Smith did an amazing job playing his role.

I just watched a very inspiring movie called:

The pursuit of happiness is one of my favorites. Actually, I love all Will Smith movies, but this one is the best. The second his "motivational" movie is The legend of a Bagger Vance - GREAT!

Peaceful Warrior - about gymnast who fall and doctors told him he'll never be able to compete again. Nick Nolte is his mentor

All Rockys and Batman / Dark Knight.

I've got to second (or third or 4th) Rudy. I mean, come on... if that doesn't motivate you, what will?

I may be alone in this one, but "Mr. Holland's Opus" is as inspirational/motivational as they come. Is it cheesy? Sure. But if you're not rooting for Richard Dreyfus by the end of it... then you've got no soul.

Forest Gump is kind of an obvious choice, but I definitely have to include it in my favorite motivational movies. I mean, come on, that (fictional) dude lived a LIFE!

    Braveheart, for sure.

Lastly, Empire Strikes Back. What line from any movie is more motivational than "Do, or do not. There is no try."

      Second Hand Lions

I also spent a couple hours in the last couple of weeks going through Youtube checking out motivational videos, sometimes when we aren't being productive and can't figure out why, it's really depression, at least for me that what I realized, I just had to fill up that well of good thought, good energy and I was back to GO!
