Beware this Insidious Blogging Limiting Belief

This is one of the weirdest blogging limiting beliefs out there. Beware!

Someone commented on my latest post that it is better to have 4 high quality posts per week than 5 low quality posts per day.

I responded that it is better to have 5 high quality posts per day than 4 high quality posts in a week.

Why do people believe that creating more frequently will actually DIMINISH their writing skills?

Imagine if the great inventors of the world thought this?

Guys, Quality AND Quantity. You can do it. When you clear out the crap between your ears

Thoughts?

Maybe they're just hiding behind their fears of not being able to come up with enough topics to cover. "Quality" and "Quantity" are subjective terms anyway.

For every kind of writing there are readers. You can write perfect posts, but what if your post has a very low audience? Than very few people will read. You can write very bad, but still people will come to read. Important is to find interesting things and write it in a way that people like. No matter how good are your posts or bad. Still people will come to read it. Post as often as you can. If you are really a good writer and have audience you can write 5 quality posts each week. But if you are not a good writer than no need to try force yourself to post 5 quality content in a week. Because it will still be the same with a very little difference. Than posting 4-5 times a day would be better. For every text there is a reader.

blogging is all about information( personal or bizz) on a blog you post small quantity but great quality to suceed. If it was about big amounts of info then you are better of building a website. too much info at once on a blog gets readers bored very quickly, they don't want to read a whole book.
persons willing to know the tread from the needle will visit your site. so make sure there is a link to it.

I think the real concern is running out of good ideas for content. If you post 5 times per day, you're gonna end up repeating yourself real quick. In my opinion it's better to spend a day or two writing a good quality post that leaves your readers in anticipation of your next post.

Not entirely true. Ideas are limitless. Check out my blog

The challenge is to innovate by pushing yourself.

Anybody can do it! Create NEW, good content, frequently that is....just gotta dissolve the limiting belief.

      Thanks for sharing!

  • Hi Ryan, . . . once again, it's because of relativity. What one can do without hesitation another would take decades even to learn. Someone else may match your skills word for word. Then there would be another who could surpass you both. It's all relative, but I agree we should encourage everyone to do their very best every day.
