What you focus on is what you get

I heard this in a book I'm reading currently (The Go-Giver), and it really rings true. But you have to be willing to be completely honest with yourself and really acknowledge what it is you're TRULY focusing on.

Is it positive or negative? Do you spend your time focused on actions that will move you toward your goal, or on thoughts that prevent meaningful action?

It seems so simple, but an honest assessment of where you are in this one area can really be eye-opening. Negativity creeps in when we're not vigilant. And that negativity is what kills a lot of goals from ever being achieved.

I'm prone to this. I've always been a "glass half empty" guy. It's just in my nature. But I work hard to self-analyze and catch myself before focusing on the negative stops me from working toward my important goals in my online business.

I highly recommend setting aside a few minutes at least once a week to critically examine your own mental state. Are you becoming your own worst enemy? More often than not, when I look back and realize I didn't get much done the last few days, the culprit is exactly what I'm talking about here.

Hope this helps!
