A Closer, Riskier But Infinitely More Powerful Motivation
Many of the greats who have made a financial success of their lives usually tell the budding businessman to keep his cards close to the vest and tell no one about his intentions or actions to escape the slings and arrows of nonbelievers; those who would try to tear us down.
For a good long time I have held to that practice, but lately I have discovered that if you allow at least one person who has your best interest at heart and perhaps cares enough about you to confide in, then keeping that person close at hand is the key.
It has an absolutely profound effect on any individual dealing with the multiple phases of IM work. To be able to confide in someone close and explain the daily gains made moving forward on a campaign has a healing and fortifying effect on that worker. And if the connection is truly genuine, the sharing and corresponding encouragement and complements on a day's job well done is like a magic elixir for success.
