Who is the most inspiring Mentor/Teacher of them all?

I know that some people may roll their eyes a little but I really do think very highly of the one and only Tony Robbins!
He has such dynamic, motivating energies and a 'Kapow!' type of presence to him.
Love ya Tony!

Who is your #1 pick; someone who has helped you greatly in your walk, through their wise teachings, inspirational instructions and life guidance?

“Long ago, I realized that success leaves clues, and that people who produce outstanding results do specific things to create those results. I believed that if I precisely duplicated the actions of others, I could reproduce the same quality of results that they had.”
“I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk.”
“The most important thing you can do to achieve your goals is to make sure that as soon as you set them, you immediately begin to create momentum. The most important rules that I ever adopted to help me in achieving my goals were those I learned from a very successful man who taught me to first write down the goal, and then to never leave the site of setting a goal without first taking some form of positive action toward its attainment.”

I do like Tony Robbins (apart from his constant "Say I" to everything).

One of my favs is Wayne Dyer. Have not heard of Eric Thomas, but will check him out Tayler, thanks.

I have come across many in my time but I think all of the great teachers and mentors teach that you are your own best teacher and mentor. You are the creator of your life and if you allow it you can connect with the higher intelligence that is within you.

Great point. I was waiting for someone to bring this up.

That is very true. Even those who encourage finding role.models to copy do so as a kick start technique, to gain insight and context. Looking at someone successful makes success easier to understand. Understanding it makes it easier to attain.

Tony Robbins is great but from what I have seen of him he is better for that situational confidence high than for lasting change at a deep deep level. Great for motivation though. Driven people will get more out of his work than others.

Dale Carnegie, Jim Rhon, John Maxwell are some of my favorites..
Darren Hardy is also great, his book "The Compound Effect" is awesome!

My all-time favorite though is Dale Carnegie, I think everybody should read "How to win friends and influence people" at least once in their lives.

If you want to get religious I would say Jesus and read the bible. If not then I would say dig up some old You Tube videos of the late great Zig Ziglar. He was pretty good.

    • I've always found Tony Robbins a bit too 'rah rah' for me.

I listened to Lead The Field by Earl Nightingale many years ago, and found his tone much easier to get on with.

I've also only recently discovered Jack Canfield, and have been impressed so far,
      cheers,

Jim Rohn. He was the man!

Unlike Eric Thomas or Tony Robbins... Jim never had to shout or do anything over the top. He truly was a master.
