Everybody wants to succeed but not everybody does. WHY?

Why is it that the majority of people live from hand to mouth while a few live a rich abundant life?

Why do a few seem to turn everything they touch into gold while others seem to struggle in everything they do. A few making tonnes of money while doing relatively little amount of work while the masses work so hard ,like 60 to 80 hours per week with nothing to show for it.

The secret?

We Become What We Think About All Day LOng

We are the sum total of what we think

That man is where he is today because that is where he wants to be whether he admits it or not. You are in your present position today because of the way you think about yourself in the past

If you think you can, then you can. If you think you can't; then you cant. Either way you are right.

You have to start thinking positive thoughts. Otherwise no matter how hard you work you will always always fail or at best achieve average results.

these are a few tips you can do to get started today:

1)Surround yourself with positive people> Avoid those who always tell you cant do this, you cant do that

2)Consciously replace negative thoughts with positive ones

3) Read a motivational/success book daily

4)Listen to a motivational audio daily

Life should be adventure, not a bore; it should be fun and exciting. You should look forward to waking up in the morning and running off to work; not praying for Friday to come fast

If you think you can do something, then you can do that thing

If you think you are intelligent, then you are intelligent

If you think you will be poor, then trust me so shall it be

If you think you cant make money online as an internet marketer, then you wont make a dime

If you think you will not pass your exams even if all your classmates are passing, then you will not pass

Success is a mindset first before the outward manisfestation. Anybody who has become successful had already visualized himself becoming successful. You have to see yourself in possession of that thing that you desire.

If all you think about all day is the problem you are facing in your internet business, the lack of traffic to your landing page, your internet connection messing up, my friend I can assure you that things are going to get worse and will continue to be so

You have to change your mindset from that of a pauper to a rich.

Many newbies think all they have to do is just work hard and do all the activities nd then boom! they are making thousands of dollars the following week.

Meanwhile all they think about is fear of not making money , fear of customers not visiting their site; fear of being duped. Fear has gootten a grip over them. All they think about all day long is negative.

They think about 1001 reasons why they think they will not succeed while at the same time working their ass off

    I totally agree with you, and James Allen's "As a man thinketh" is a brilliant book. One thing that I will say is that thinking takes work, you cannot just decide to think you will be rich and successful and then 'Hey Presto'. It takes work, it is harder to maintain a positive mindset than it is to think negative, mainly because our world has become so negative and we are constantly fed negative from every angle.

    The mindset is very important because our lives unfold from our thoughts and if those thoughts are chaotic and muddled, then that is how our lives will become. Some people look after their bodies through exercise, but not many look after their minds, which are as important as our physical bodies.

    As you said oluwafemi daily work needs to be done to keep our minds healthy, great post.

    To change your thinking takes practice, practice and more practice, then it becomes a habit, then
    it becomes a "characteristic" of yours that dramatically increases your chances of success...all other things being equal of course like planning and taking action and more planning and more action.

      you are right. It takes a lot of practice. I'm not going to come here and tell people it's so easy to do . It aint easy at all, especially if you come from a background where what you've heard all you life growing up is that 'its hard to make money', 'it's hard to be successful in business'.

      I first came across the idea in my first year in University, year 1 when I read John Mason's book 'Let Go Off Whatever Makes You Stop' . And it took me literally years from affirming those positive ,empowering beliefs before I could change my life around.

      So it's not a day's job. thanks for the post

    if you keep moving the marker for success so that a majority are behind the line and a small fraction above the line .

    chance are many here are living better than 6 to 6.5 billion people on this planet ..with accesses to entertainment and tech the richest people could not get 30 years ago..but we are trained to se ourselves as failures is we compare our selves to the .1 percent of westerners and the .01 percent of the human population at large .

    there are a huge number of people who you may be looking at through the lense of them being failures ..when they have had major jump in their life styles ..

    i know when i use to work in food production with migrants who came up here from south america..live in apartments owned by family ..and worked a few jobs for 6 months to a year ..then went back bought a small house and lived well .

    the greatest secret of success . is that it is not a measure of you against the warren buffets or the bill gates .

    success is a measure of progress you make against you ..and the improvments you make in your life .

    what has made a major difference for me ..

    is changing the thoughts i let dominate our brains offer up huge amounts of thought vomit ..random thoughts or negative ..or weird .. a lot of the shoulds and marketing crao fed to us over a lifetime .

    the other foot ..was to stop the negative flat out abusive self talk and to be much kinder to myself in my head .

    the huge shift that has been very slow is getting out of the needing to be saved or trying to save others frame of mind ..that has been real hard to change

    Developing a positive mentality is definitely not easy to do. I think that is the main problem. I used to watch a motivational video and have a boost of motivation for a day or two and then crash for a week. Then I would repeat that process over and over and it was very frustrating.

    Developing a positive mindset requires some serious will power and self-discipline for a couple months and then eventually it will become something you can control.

    Once you develop a positive mindset, you will have a lot more power over the amount of success you have in your business and in life.

    It's not really easy because negative thoughts will appear once in a while and you have to consider that thought.

    Maybe constant practice and just emptying your mind for a moment.

      I had a few successes in my life, and a few failures that followed up.

      But I always kept thinking I'll be back some day, and as it was thought it happened

      Thinking is not really the main issue here, it's more about trying things till eternity, if you do nothing for a while you get tired of doing nothing and then you start to under take things again. At least that's how it should happen.

      Can't imagine that people just keep sitting their in front of the tv and never take some step to change their life for good.

      On the other hand, not everyone has the will power to succeed in business or to make a lot of money, many are just satisfied with what they have, house, wife, kids, dog, what else you need.

    When someone tells me I can't do something it FORCES me to do it just to show them.

    I always keep one "friend" in my life who tells me I am a dreamer and won't amount to anything, because it spurs me to prove them wrong!

      I have never really considered this idea for thought..
      Interesting perception, and certainly a good tool to live by if it drives you for success.

      With this said, to control this down to that "One Friend", one would have to practice saturating their lives with positive people while having this chosen "One Friend" to randomly influence your life without having too much of his negative life spring into yours. (Run On Sentence, I know...)
