How to motivate people in just one minute

Once upon a time, there was a factory where the workers just wouldn’t produce. Even though the company had already tried everything on the workers, they just remained lazy. Many capable managers came and went, but things just didn’t improve. Suddenly, a business maestro came up with a brilliant idea. All he did was draw a strange symbol on the floor, and the productivity shot up immediately.

Hmmm.....the video seemed to be moving along too slowly 5 minute video, 1 minute promise lol! J/k of course.

For me, knowing WHY is the only driver I need, and others need.

    Thanks for the share!

Motivation doesn't last for me. I guess I'm an alien or something but the only thing that works for me is sheer will power and self-discipline. Motivation has let me down so many times that I refuse to seek or depend upon it. If it shows up once in awhile then I'm not complaining, but I don't need it.

Motivation must come from inside out not from outside in. That is why no motivation last when so called 'motivation speakers' step on the stage.

That is a great video, healthy competition will always improve results, and a a keen sailor I can certainly relate to fact that i have often been forced to improve my skills to remain at the top of the pack.

I know that in the business I am in putting team against team in a subtle way also is a good motivator.

Zig Zigglar once said something like "Motivation is like bathing; it doesn't last. That's why I recommend you do it daily."

As for motivational speakers, there's plenty you can get from them. We're all motivated by encouragement and sometimes hearing suggestions about better ways to think that lead to better results is a great way to improve yourself. I've found myself being motivated for years just from one sentence I heard from a motivational speaker and I thank them and refer back to them almost daily so their motivation lived on in me and I shared it with others.
