hello ,

I tend to be a big pest here about making sure people follow their own definition of success rather than chase symbols of success.

the problem most people have is they replicate what previous generations of rich did and are completly lost as to what the rich are doing now .

lets look at the lawn and i might touch on the peasant work ethic er protestant work ethic

the first reported lawn was the taj mahal and it was maintained by widdows who cut the grass with scissors .

the concept was brought back to Europe where the wealthy build mannor houses.surrounded them with lawns ..and used sheep to maintain them ..which gave the wealthy wool milk and meat . so the lawn was both a symbol of wealth and a productive asset .

now the peasant work ethic ..because peasents worked the landed owned by the wealthy ..the land lords took the extra from those who produced it..if some people where not working that hard.. the land lord would raise their rent .
so it was in the best interest of the peasant to look like they where working hard but only produced enough for their needs and to keep the land lord happy ..there was not point in producing extra .

now fast forward to today and the vision of success for most people..is the big house with the big lawn and a diet with a lot of meat ..and most people work so much away from it ..then on weekend it is fixing or cleaning inside the house or spending hours mowing and cleaning up the yard .

so the lawn which was once a productive asset for wealth people ..now consume more fuel uses more chemicals and more man hours to maintain..than what we use to grow food .

so. when you think about your vision of success.. is it yours..or is it built from a view of the way you think rich people live ..but miss the point ..by replacing what are productive assets with something that looks like it but are resource consuming liabilities .

the only resource consuming liability ..both should have have to legs and use the words mom and dad

    Hi,

Do what feels freeing and good to you, and you'll attract people, ideas and circumstances which feel good to you. I love traveling. Being free to set my sked, my salary, and not being weighed down by things other than my laptop, and some clothes, has been liberating, and made me feel more free than just about anything else.

    Good points!
