Spirituality and Internet Marketing

17 replies
As a spiritual teacher and internet marketer, I have experienced an interesting cross road. I've noticed that internet marketing is a field that sales internet marketing education but spirituality is something that hasn't been tapped into really and some would say that it isn't a high demand niche. I say why not?, it can be applied to every area of life including internet marketing from a spiritual perspective. Is it low in demand or have we not seen its potential yet? Internet marketing wasn't high in demand till people started marketing it over and over again till it caught on by prospects and customers. If we as Internet Marketers with a love for spirituality focus on making it a high demand niche we can really make a difference in the world. What do you think?

      I've actually been barking up that tree as of late, trying to sell my art (Abstract Minimalist Fractal Mandala Art.) which could be considered spiritual. Do you (or OP) have any pointers?

        are you painting these or is it computer generated

        it may be worth it for you to look into adapting these to things that can be 3d printed ..

        3d printing will be the thing for artest or designers who want many people to own their art .. or produce art that is not meant as a 1 of a kind piece .. so you can upload to site and people who download your design will .

        and if you want to incorporate a spiritual message you can have a blog where you put the saying up ..then a picture of the piece printed with the message and a link to where they can buy the design

        The key is branding and partnering. Leveraging partnerships and big brands. What's your foundation? Do you have a corporation established, so when people look at you do look legit. We can go into grow your audience marketing hiring the right brand expert like I did. But I always say what is your foundation? Do you have a bank account tied to an LLC allowing the universe to pay you we want fast tricks but are not willing to setup a strong foundation.

    so what kind of spiritualy..

    how about we mix im and politics .

    im and diet

    im and growing food

    spirituality is not a niche it a huge market .

    you could work better .. with something like .

    crystal lickers ..selling special blessed crystal that when you are in a very good mood or very happy you can hold and charge the crystal..and when you don't feel so good you can pick up the crystal and absorb that energy ..and that crystal is tied to a very special group of people who are always happy and you will even get some of their happy energy .

    there is some really great stuff out there ..but there are a lot of things that require a little too much faith

      I agree you need a niche I would suggest meditation.Tie your product to meditation practices. People are still afraid of the word spirituality. Until its safe and mainstream we need to use different language, but that language is a link wheel to spirituality practices.

        spirituality is pretty main steam ..the main thing is no one wants these ideas shoved in their face .. if they have a desire to look they will look .

        in the human world there are 7 billion of us because we where not meant to be the same believe the same or so the same as everyone else ..

        in my view spituality is about allowing and being aware of how spirit work in our lives and how it wants to work through us ..there is really very little need for the practices that you use to show others you are spiritual .

          Spirituality is not main stream religion is, and that's what is shoved in people's face. Religion and spirituality are not the same, and when we start digging deeper and waking up more, we will understand it more clear.

          Religion=fear god

          Spirituality=we are all gods

    Very interesting thread by the way. I like spirituality. I usually see spiritual related products in the self help/personal development section.

    One thing is clear internet marketing and spirituality go together. There's no way around it. Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingdale and myself are saying it.
    the personal development niche has a market and spirituality is usually found among it.
    When you say spirituality what is it that you really mean? religion? beliefs? because to be frank, it's a vast subject.

    Yes, of course, it is already a billion dollar market. But are you talking about starting a religion or the personal development arena? Both pretty much teach very similar things with an incredibly different vocabulary as shifter88 pointed out.

    Or are you talking about being straight forward about drawing the parallels out about it? Being direct.

    All of the greatest spiritual leaders throughout history were also master marketers and master salesman. They just never sounded like it. They never sounded like it like most incredible salespeople today. That is the art about marketing. It NEVER sounds like you are being sold. It sounds like waterfalls, and freshly baked cookies, and late afternoons on the beach. It sounds like heaven, and joy, and delight. Maybe that is why you don't see it. You might not see it because it is being done so well.

    Plenty of sub-rate pitchers in the spiritual world can be seen who are made fun of and ridiculed because they do not know how to deliver their message (and probably because their hearts aren't in the "right" place either).

    But I think you are implying that we could do so much more with spirituality. That is probably far more accurate. Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe the mind of man can achieve, eh? I like to look at it as tapping into just the placebo effect (as just one thing of many disciplines). What could we really accomplish if we could tap into the placebo effect on demand at will? Absolutely fascinating about the untapped potential we have yet to explore. Space - the final frontier? Yes, the space right between our ears!

    Another reason is Maslow's hierarchy of needs. We have not had the time to do it much yet. We are more affluent than ever before, more educated, with the most leisure time so it will explode now. Just fifty years ago was a whole different world.

    It is also because it is the most difficult work. Just take a quick peek around Warrior to see how many people are frustrated and confused about figuring out online marketing. Spirituality is much harder but the rewards are immense beyond compare.

    It is also because it has been so mystical. What do I do? How do I do it? - I often hear from people. I have spent my life working to clear that up. Exact steps. A specific system that is reproducible. Drawing from all four quadrants of life: spiritual (emotional), physical (and financial), social, and intellectual. First proposed by Hippocrates (considered the father of medicine) a few thousand years ago still holds today but how many people even know this beginning point?

    Everyone is still bickering over methodology. Coming at the same conclusions using different viewpoints. I mean, we can't even get consensus on how to achieve core level change. You know, real lasting permanent change of any false belief - all the way to the core. Gut level, knee jerk reaction change. Yeah, real change. (That took me twenty-five years to figure out by the way.) Yep, people are still arguing and having petty territorial disputes over that when they don't even really know what it is.

    How many times have we seen personal development experts claim they can deliver change and they don't? This doesn't help the field at all. Of course they have significant progress but that is nowhere near an exact system. They simply can't spell out what the EXACT process is to achieve core level change, they can't tell you why it works, they can't tell you how to achieve it at will, nor reproduce it. Once that hits then things should pick up a bit.

    I think that if a person is spiritual, that it should drive their marketing efforts, and that the rewards of their marketing efforts should drive their spirituality.

    For example, I believe that we should give... Give to the needy, give to friends. Give to family members, give to the church. Out of the desire to give, we create a vacuum that needs to be filled with more money. This is our spirituality driving our need for more things material that profits from marketing can fill. The more we make, the more we can give, which in turn increases our spiritual life!
