It's All Sunshine and Rainbows

I've had my share of downs.. but that doesn't mean every situation is bad, even though it might seem so.

Yesterday I woke up late, skipped my weekly networking meeting and ended up getting a flat tire (on my motorcycle) after I had met up with a client.

It looked to be a pretty bad day..

But let's look at the good things.

I was able to sleep in, had a nice breakfast. The networking meeting I skipped still landed me a new client and the meeting with one of my existing clients turned out to be excellent in the fact that they increased their monthly rates from $1,250 to $1,750 with me

And the flat tire.. I was bummed about it at first, that was until I rolled up to a local motorcycle shop (luckily I could get there). He patched up the tire, put new brake pads on and fixed my clutch handle.

Oh and I must not forget, he's now a client of mine too

It's all sunshine and rainbows after it rains.

Keep your head up.

People often criticise me for being too positive. I say to them that I have the same problems as anyone else, but the perspective is everything, and your post sums it up perfectly.
The way we react to our circumstances is a choice we make ;-)

Lemons into lemonade. That is the whole secret to life. Being able to stay flexible is also one of the success traits that I use as well. It can be tricky knowing where to turn or what thread to follow but once you get it you are home free!

    Nice story!

This reminds me of a question/saying I once heard, when something bad happens or things simply don't go our way to ask ourselves is this fortunate and to simply look for the seed of positivity.

Things tend to get better when we take a moment to change up our perspective.

Lately Ive come to realize that, if we just go with the flow... things that happen too us and look horrible at first actually turn out be for the best.

We just have to go with the flow and let what is.. be exactly that.. what is..

Nice post -- everything's within our minds.
Looks like the reality has nothing to do with our "good"s and "bad"s.
It's all just rainbows and sunshine

Sometimes it is hard to see the good when other things are happening but there are many things in your life to be grateful for. I have found the more that I focus on these things the better things are for me. I also try to remember that no matter how bad things have gotten I have always endured and I am still here. I know a lot of this is easier said then done but it can make a huge difference in our overall lives.

I think when all of that stuff happens in life, all those down times. What it really does to us is TESTS our faith.

Basically, the faith to BELIEVE that no matter what happens, their WILL BE a light at the end of the tunnel. Life isn't fair, but no one ever said it would be.

    Nice post man!

      I agree Omar!

It's all about how you look at it. I'm not saying I aim for failure, but if there weren't bad days it would be pretty hard to know how great the good days are.

Good stuff Justin! Things happen; we add labels, or, the ego adds labels based on experienced feelings. We can shift in the moment, to positive views of these events. In difficult cases - deaths, financial ruin, etc - it seems to take longer to shift, but we can and do, do it. Thanks!

  • It's so easy to focus on the negative. It's actually harder to find the silver lining of everyday life. But I found that if you focus on what's good about your day, you sleep better, you feel better, and you're happier in your relationships with the people around you.

Thanks for the reminder Justin. Posts like this on WF DO inspire people to do better and do more.

    Cheers!

I love your outlook on life. Staying positive even through trial and tribulations. Even in our worst moments, there is always someone out there who is going through a worse situation. Focus on the good and accept that adversity is a part of life. It's not about what happens to you, it's about how you react to what happens to you.

Hahaha great but that's how it is! Even a shitty day can turn out to be a good one it just depends how you see it for yourself. Some people will always see the bad site but some like you will see the good site. I tend to it see the good site in all things because you never know to where it leads you.
