Stop Looking For The Easy Way Out

Why do we try to shortcut our way to success with some product promising easy results when we know that no great achievement comes easy? "The Easiest Way To Make $100 A Day". "The Easiest Way To Lose Weight Fast". "The Easiest Way To Get Rich". Easy this easy that.

I used to be one of those people and I still am in a sense, but instead of easy, I look for simple. When somebody asks me for a easy method to make money online the first thing that pops into my mind is, "Are You Kidding Me? I can show you a simple way to make money online but it only gets easy with hours and hours of practice, and experience.

Well, first of all let me address the obvious answer. The reason we want things to be easy is because we don't want extra stress, unhappiness, difficulty, or challenges in our life. Let's face it. Life is hard as it is, so why in the world would I want to buy a product that is going to show me how to do something that is difficult?

Well here is the truth that you need to know. If you want to make a big change in your life it is going to be difficult. It might be easy to make $5 a day, but if you want to make $500 a day, you better believe it is not going to be easy my friend.

That is why you have to make a mindset shift. Don't look for the easy route or the secret to success. Just follow the old-fashioned success principles.

Work Hard. Be Fearless. Take Risks. Be Disciplined. If you want something you never had before you have to sacrifice your old lifestyle habits and replace them with new habits.

Get out a piece of paper and list all the sacrifices you have to make and what habits you need to get rid of to reach your goals. Then make a list of all the sacrifices you're willing to make and all the habits you're willing to get rid of to reach your goals. If the lists don't match up, you're going to have a hard time reaching your goals.

Look, if your goal is to be financially free, you need to understand that achieving that goal will be difficult. Accept and embrace that fact from the beginning.

If somebody tells you that you can easily become a Millionaire by buying their course then run as far away from that guy as possible. I have been scammed out of my money and the reason I was scammed out of my money was because I wanted my success to come easy. I wanted to make $100 a day and I wanted it to be easy.

After being scammed and realizing how much money and time I've wasted from running away from the truth I decided enough was enough. I changed my mentality about success and my life has been changing for the good ever since.

Stop looking for the easy route. Stop looking for a shortcut. Work harder not smarter. Once you get really good at what you do and actually achieve your goals, you will have acquired enough knowledge and skills that will allow you to naturally work smarter and shorten your workload.

Until then.....Work Hard.....Be Fearless......Take Risks....Be Disciplined.

Great post, tvon. I call that sickness Magic Pill Mentality Syndrome (MPMS). I wrote about this in an article on my blog about healthcare and the allure of the quick fix pharmaceutical solution as opposed to the long and disciplined road of natural healthcare. You might find it interesting. Here is an excerpt from the article:

"The problem begins with a false perception that runs to the deepest ends of our social fabric. We as a race, the human race, are quite convinced that there is or that we can invent a pill magic solution to every conceivable problem. The irony here is that we have literally conceived or created many of the health problems we are currently attempting to cure with existing healthcare practices.

To be fair, there are indeed many magic pills out there: from painkillers to antidepressants to stimulants. But let’s not forget the definition of magic, that it is simply the temporary redirection of attention to hide the underlying trick. The magic pill solution is no different. It is simply the temporary redirection of our attention (via symptom management) to hide the underlying cause or disease.

If you are okay with this sort of magic pill solution, then you are part of the reason why pharmaceutical healthcare is big business, far bigger than it needs to be. There has to come a point when the strategy changes from managing one more symptom to just uprooting the cause of the disease. But wait, that wouldn’t be good for business, would it?"

Likewise, it's almost always the entrepreneurs with MPMS who come crashing down. For evidence to the contrary, look at Berkshire Hathaway, Google, Apple. If you study the history of these three or in fact any immensely successful company/concern, you will see that they steered far from greed and quick-fix solutions. Jobs took a salary of $1/year from Apple; his wealth was a result of performance and success, for which he worked long and hard. Google in fact made little profit if any for a few years after it started but never sold out. Warren Buffet, well, enough said.

When it comes to success, there is no substitute for hard work that is honestly and intelligently directed.

    Excellent post!

As humans we run toward pleasure and away from pain, so its no wonder that the easy way is often pursued first and foremost.

If people would just apply the same effort they do to finding an easy solution to disciplined and focused work inside of a good system, they would be astounded by the results.

      Amen to that.

The same energy that it takes to search for shortcuts and shiny objects can be applied to one business model, which will lead to more productivity, and results. This one mindset shift will increase your chances of reaching your income goals tremendously.

Because of the placebo effect. People can just float through life blindly trusting things will work out and the often do in a mediocre fashion. Following along keeps us alive. Only it is the rich and successful who get out in front to create, develop, and produce their vision of a great life. That is where the work is and where you get lasting success.

Remember the placebo effect has a 60% to 80% success rate. If that’s all you do – and often that truly is how people think about The Law of Attraction – then you would at least be upper middle class successful. Why make it harder if you do not have to? Only there is a focus aspect to the placebo effect that few rarely master anyway. Another reason of how difficult just the placebo effect can be.

Almost every guru in personal development today – Tony Robbins, Oprah, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Brian Tracy, Jom Rohn, T. Harv Eker, Jack Canfield, etc. – teach some version of the placebo effect.
    1. Because it works. It is a scientifically verified event.
    2. And two because that is what the masses buy. They simply do not by “hard work”.

Sometimes people do win the lottery and the masses see that. I have actually heard people say their retirement plan is to win the lottery. They just have no idea that they have incredible odds against them of even being able to manage the money afterwards. If they could not manage $1,000 a week before hitting it big how do they even conceive of being able to manage millions?

Well, they are easily duped by the hype.

And most do not truly realize how hard the work is – even the well-seasoned and experienced.

The gut wrenching, excruciating pain that often, not always, comes with inner work is terrifying. I have personally seen some of the most successful people reduced to a quivering mass as they traverse to ever higher levels. These are not the faint of heart. And it CERTAINLY had nothing to do with any bizarre personal development trainings or methods. Just regular, every day true inner work can often produce this hard work. Frankly, this just scares the living hell out of most people. So why bother?

We often hear from world renowned experts that the road of inner growth is the hardest work they have ever encountered. I also say they know what they are talking about.

Great post and a good reminder to all of us that the magic bullet doesn't exist. Success requires that we adopt the right mindset.

If we want financial success, we need to give real value to the people we serve. Otherwise, any success we enjoy would be short-lived.

One of the great things about success is the self-transformation that occurs during the process of becoming successful. We acquire good habits and develop self-discipline, and these enable us to become valuable persons. We become golden and so we attract a lot of gold!

Pretty much sums it up right there.

Excellent post my friend! I think everyone is looking for that magic bullet mainly because when people come online, they are bombarded with the "dream". Well it's more like a false dream but either way, they get the wrong outlook on the industry and jump from program to program. Hopefully, everyone isn't gullible to believe the false claims and crazy notions of becoming wealthy without working hard but plenty people do come in with that thinking...

    Thanks for sharing!

    Quality information for anyone.
The short way out is the end of the road. Many need to think about this when they think they know what they want. People misunderstand that success is not the result, success is the path you take that eventually gets you to the end.
Nobody wants to jump to the end... Enjoy the path that life takes you, Make it a successful path, and make that path last as long as you can. It is the only path (Life) you have.

    Awesome.

When people ask me if there's one piece of advice I can offer that will make the biggest impact, this is it.

Stop looking for the shortcuts. The shortcut is the longest, slowest and most painful road to success...and almost never leads there.

Good advice. The easy way out is never really easy and you can spend years looking for it. And, for anyone starting out, find a product or service to sell that works for you and stick with it. If it's working then don't give it up just because someone else comes along with a new brain child of an idea. Build your list, talk to your subscribers and publish good content to support whatever you are doing.

Nothing in life comes easy. You got to work hard for it and earn it. No matter how much a product teaches you, if you don't have the right attitude you will never succeed.

I'd also like to mention here that every time we fail to align our vision with a product and take appropriate action we start saying "I've been scammed". Its true there are thugs and thieves out there, but most of the times we throw up our hands in disgust and start screaming scam without understanding that a method is as good as the person who implements it. The magic bullet syndrome is indeed a degenerative disease that can never be treated by products/methods (no matter how great they are)!

I think always there are simple way to do something, and it proved. But the key is we must take massive action to gain more our knowledge and, skills. There are something we don't understand when we learn but when we practice we can understand why and how it work. We must choose what is simple and fit with our case and ability. Then take massive action until achieve it.
