I am at the worst time of my life right now...

i live in our old house alone.. got a pc, internet connection paid by my parents, food that is supplied by my parents and grandmother. no job, all i have is my pc and my internet connection that helps me literally waste my day. I've always wanted to build my internet business but i dont have any cash to start. i cant ask my parents to give me that kind of money coz i know that theyve given so much to me. and the fact that i cant show them any proof that these thing really works.
all i ask for a good warrior out there, maybe i just need a mentor that will honestly teach me how do i build my business online with free of charge and with free methods. i maybe asking too much for you to teach me and get nothing in return for mentoring me for free. but im honestly telling all of you that i have nothing but my pc and internet and bunch of hours daily.

If this will suffice.
"I can/will work 10 - 15 hours a week on your IM business, free of charge, just to learn the ropes".

i really hope that someone out there will hear me.. any advice are appreciated.

    1. There is no free lunch.

    2. For those who think there is, there is always some price attached, even if only emotional validation.

    3. A better option would be to work for that effort. Do KW research, write articles, etc.

    4. You seem a kid so I guess that's alright (with your mindset) but are you actually expecting someone making $10.000 - $20.000 - $30.000 - $100.000/year from IM to actually spend time with you just because you need it?

Really, think about what you can provide. If I were you, I'd change this to ...

"I'll work 10 - 15 hours a week on your IM business, free of charge, just to learn the ropes".

As a piece of advice, someone who works hard and learns fast would have Googled the terms first. You've got a long way to go kid.

you cant really rely on google. google will just show the pages that are relevant to the words you type. it wont teach you what methods really works in IM. thanks for your time i appreciate it but this wont help me at the moment.

The other poster wasn't talking about IM stuff, they were talking about the words "hard and soft skills".

If you really were interested and willing to work hard you would have Googled those words to see what they mean and not just ask here. That's the easy way out.

That was their point. You've got to get proactive and active and get moving. Saying you are willing to work hard and doing it are two entirely different things. Saying you are a fast learner and then being able to apply the things you learn isn't so easy.

You say you have no skills. So what can you do?

You've been here for awhile so what have you been doing or learning?

        What are your interests?

Do you have a website at all?

    Hey Aji,

You're one very lucky dude. Seriously, I mean that.

You literally have all day, every day to make this thing happen.

The trouble is, you've always had your parents. You have never been in a position where success, well that's your only option.

Sure, that sounds cliche. I know that, and I'm not trying to come across as someone who is pretending to have the keys to success.

    All I'm saying is:

Remember that guy who gave up? Nope, me neither.

Focus on learning, applying what you know. Go meet other people, network, grow a circle of people who are doing what you want to do.

If you do those things, you will see some success.

Also, go read a book called "Choose Yourself" by James Altucher. That book, man it changed my entrie mindset on what's possible.

If you want to talk, let me know.

    Aji ...

I've once heard a story. It's not SF so you can believe it.

There is this great CEO, businessman. He's worth hundreds of millions. He's not into IM or anything (at least he wasn't there).

And he had what it is being called a "dufus test".

A "dufus test" is a test designed to make the difference between a doer and someone who wants the easy way out.

And he gave it to two guys. He told them to meet him in London (I think) in three days for a sales meeting. This was on short notice, as if I would tell you tomorrow to go to the airport and leave to the other side of the world.

    They did.

They went there, they didn't asked questions, they did a great job.

But you know what was GREAT about it? One of those two guys missed his own child birth in order to attend.

    That's commitment.

And with all due respect to the other talented people in this topic, with this attitude, I wouldn't give you five minutes of my time. I wouldn't even consider a mentorship.

And why is my time valuable?

I'm a high paid copywriter. I know the top players in the industry. I know a guy right now that if you were an A player, he would help you make $50.000/year as your mentor.

But you lack the substance ...

    You lack the attitude ...

Or as some people say it ...

You are all talk and no show.

So the next time someone asks you about something you don't know ...

Hit Google and search them. Do your research.

Because your NEED won't get you noticed. ONLY YOUR ATTITUDE AND COMPETENCE.

When I had to bring an important guy on board for a business deal ...

I had spent over 50 hours researching him. I've bought his stuff. Read it. Used it. Tested it. Followed him on LinkedIn. I was one step from being called a stalked and even if I were ...

    ... who cared?

So when I've talked to him, we were like kindred spirits. He knew about the research since I wasn't really that stealthy ... but he appreciated the effort anyway.

    @Joe - I wouldn't bother, really.

PS: If Richard Branson ... or Warren Buffet ... or Donald Trump would come to me today and say ...

"Razvan, look, if you will work for me for five years at minimum wage ...

... and leave everyone and everything behind ...

... and work harder than everyone else ...

... but in five years, you'll know all my secrets about how I've built my empire"

... I would be on my way to the airport before he finished his sentence.

If that guy ... asked me to watch his kids ... clean his toilet ... or do his groceries in exchange for one hour of his time a day ...

I would quit my well paid enterprises right now for it.

So you see my friend ...

The world of IM and business is not the world of excusitis. It is a battle royal where the guy with the best attitude and the best skills win.

The others ... well, you can always buy the book

"997 Excuses Why I've Failed In IM".

Here's what you must do ...

    Trust me on this, right?

The first thing is to know what the heck you want. Make money is not a big deal.

Sometimes, I want to have sex. Other times, I want to drive a boat. And other times, I want to sleep.

What you want acts as a magnet for your behavior.

If you want something, you'll be biased towards doing stuff that gets you there.

    So decide on something.

    A house?

    A girlfriend?

    A car?

    Set a goal.

    A real goal.

Then build desire. You see, I was a smoker and only smokers can understand this.

Do you know how is it to equal smoking to pleasure? You feel empty without it. You feel depleted.

That's why I've found myself once ... twice ... forty-five times going in the middle of the night to buy a new one.

    Imagine this.

You feel the same attraction and commitment to working ... to building a business ... as you would to smoking. To wake in the middle of the night and say ...

I CAN'T SLEEP UNLESS I WILL FINISH THAT EMAIL FUNNEL ...

or to wake up in the morning thinking about building your website. To feel bad if you haven't finished your tasks.

    Third and finally ...

Once these two are up, find the right techniques.

You see my friend, your problem is not the how-to.

Most people don't have a problem with that. The how-to is easy and can always be bought. Your problem is attitude and mindset.

For example, if I tell you to drop and do 25 push-ups right now, would you do it?

Well, the folks who would are the same folks who have no problem earning $100.000/year. They are action oriented.

They know it is not about the how to but rather about the execution.

That having a funnel that converts at 2% is better than having no funnel ... and that a few tweaks that can be found anywhere can boost it to 4%.

You know how to lose weight?

    Eat less and exercise more.

    It is NOT a secret.

Yet most people are looking for that magic pill when simply walking 10.000 steps a day and exercising 30 minutes would burn enough calories.

So focus on developing your mindset. Become a doer because right now, you are a doofus.

And then you'll get noticed. And my friend ...

    TAKE MY WORD

No sane IMer that makes over $3000/month would take you as a mentee with this attitude. He wants to see someone hard working, smart, with attitude.

You can be dumb as a rock ... but you'll be a rock with attitude that can be transformed into a diamond.

    So what do you say?

Shall we stop fooling around and get to work?

PS: Post a new topic. Offer your services for free. Do anything for someone who can show you how to make money. Say that you'll learn. In the meantime, actually learn. When you get a task, DO IT. Excuses are like Coca Cola left in a glass for two days. They don't taste nice and they don't satisfy anyone.

Then you'll get noticed and then you'll make money.

This means working for someone's else benefit for one - two - three months ... before seeing any ROI.

    Or staying here and complying.

    It's your choice really.

PPS: And then pay me 10% of everything you do as royalty for my advice.

    Just JOKING ... or not?

I will continue making youtube videos about online games guides. And about the smoking thing. I do smoke like a lot. i need to pay the bills on my own.. i need pay for every food i eat and be independent. i can see it clearly.. ive been losing against myself all this time.

How about doing a part time job and then on the days you are off you try internet marketing. Whatever money you make use that to invest. And stick to one type of money making method. Don't jump. Sometimes the most blunt and simple suggestion is the best. Sorry to hear about what you are going through.

    Aji,
I run a coaching business helping others identify where they are uniquely qualified to add value in such a way that they can reasonably expect to be compensated (often quite handsomely). I help them identify their key strengths & weaknesses, identify obstacles, set goals, put together a plan of action, and hold their feet to the fire to make it happen.

Though I am not about to take you on as a full-time client for free, if you are interested I can give you a few pointers that I often use with my clients.

Let me know if you are interested, and if so I have a little homework assignment for you.

There are so many things that you can do.

It all begins by finding out the most feasible internet business for you.

    1. You have got the time, use it to develop your will power.

    2. Groom your business ideas and have a clear plan.

    3. Truth is most people who came onboard with money to invest without any knowledge lose it at the initial stage. Work your ass until you start making money then invest that money. If you don't already have a system that works or brings in money no matter how small it's risky starting with huge sum of money.

    4. There are lots of freelancing sites out there like fiverr. Check them out and see what you can do. Browse through the categories and see the onces you can adapt to, profitable, learn and start.

    5. The forums are there for you to ask questions and learn new things..

    6. The forums itself offers ways to make money by coming up with a Special Offer.

    7. You have options like affiliate marketing (clickbank, commission junction), adnetwork (adsense), offering your own services and many more.

The list are just endless, just be creative, serious, read, explore, take action and relax.
