Getting past the starting gate!

Hello Warriors

I have been reading this forum off and on for a few years as well as listening to some various podcasts and reading blogs on making money online. The truth is..there's a lot of content out there and sometimes it's hard to find the best direction to go, what works etc.

I've been struggling to make any major breakthrough yet. I am very strong on the technical side and putting sites up however I have a ways to go in learning SEO, finding niches and what sells.

My question is what specifically do you think is a major factor in making it with a site to make a profit today. I'm not looking to become a millionaire but I'd love to see my first breakthrough online.

Obviously there's ways to be successful out there and people doing VERY well in the industry.

Any feedback or input is greatly appreciated.

John

Provide something of genuine value: Something that will improve/enhance people's lives in some way. It's been said that you can have everything you want in life if you help enough people get what they want. (Zig Ziglar.)

Welcome to the forum. : )

    Welcome

There's tons of ways to make money using the internet.

I suggest going to the WSO section and purchasing a popular WSO with good review.

    Then take action

    Cheers,

Thanks for your advice. I've reviewed the WSO section and there is a HUGE amount of material there. Is there any easy way to tell what works and what is just a PDF mill?

        Check the reviews.

        Contact people who already purchased.

    Welcome to Warrior Forum John!

I wouldn't personally worry about not being knowledgable in "SEO, Niche finding etc..", I'm not good at those either. However, like you, I'm good at the technical stuff and that's where I'm able to generate a full time income.

Your technical skills are a perfect way to enter the Internet Marketing industry, everyone needs a website and you'd be surprised at how many people are looking to get this done by someone else. You also have WordPress, the world's largest content management system. Why not look into developing some plugins and / or themes?

That industry, is massive. There's millions waiting to be made there. You just to build something people want.

Obviously, take what I'm saying lightly. This is just one way you could enter, it's how I did it and it worked well for me. Soon, I'll be launching my own products, because I've learnt how to in my spare time and I've seen what works for my clients.

    Hopefully this help a little

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)
