Your mind is an instrument given to you by God to improve your life. You have to see first in your mind the things you desire for your life, and create them. Thoughts are pictures of the mind that have power and create realities.

The quickest way to affect your thoughts is through mental pictures. Every man is the character of his thoughts. Your mind can make you poor or make you rich; it can put you in the place of honor or dishonor.

Use you mind to focus and project yourself to your next greater level. However, dont disdain or berate others who are yet to attain your level of reasoning. Dont compare yourself with them; rather, understand that each of us are at different levels and gifted differently

In a logical debate, I find it productive (or at least not reductive) to stay away from the idea of 'God' given that it just creates arguments that can't be resolved.

With that in mind, you are correct that the mind is the pathway to action but I think the body isn't given enough credit. People always say "the mind is the most important part" but those people don't realise just how much work the body can do on the mind.

The food you eat, the exercise you do, even something as small as facial expressions can have a tremendous impact on the state of the mind. Smiling is often associated with happiness, most people thinking the process goes [Happiness > Smiling] but the reverse is true as well. If you're ever feeling bad you can just force your face into a smile and you will release endorphins, overall improving your mood.

As for visualisation (projection of the mind) it's incredibly important. Not just for reducing anxiety but it can also build tissues in your body related to the action you are imagining. There was a study done (I won't bother with a citation) in which there were three groups of test subjects related to exercise. The control group did nothing and saw no results. The second group did abdominal-related exercises for 6 weeks. They saw improvement of 120% (somewhere near that number) and the third group visualised themselves doing abdominal exercises, but for everything else simply did what the control group did. They saw an improvement of 7%.

While not major, this did show implications of the mind alone having an effect on the body in terms of building muscle tissue. In this same way it's not crazy to think visualisation of a positive behaviour can create nervous tissue that will adhere to the same behaviour. At least on a small degree. For that it can be used as a very good beginners' step as it takes no risk but encourages future optimal behaviour.

I got a bit away from the point I realise but I thought people might find it interesting the body-mind connection rather than just focusing on the mind.

You might be right about this that mentioning God creates arguments. I wonder why that is. Because it is usually in America and maybe other Western countries that is the case.

I find that in my work with LOA whether I am working with myself or others, it is very helpful and absolutely critical to bring in a reference to some Higher Power, Higher Self, Spirit, God, Nature, Life Force Energy, The Universe, All That Is, The Force (it doesn't matter what you call it). To me it's all the same thing.

So why has God become a bad word? I have lived in America for 30 years but my close friends were always spiritually minded people who used Spirit and Higher Self in their conversation all the time.

I am a big proponent of LOA but it is impossible to use LOA without some reference to some Higher Power or Spirit. In LOA we use energies, and God is the great energy the Great Spirit in my mind. (Even though it is not external to us, it is what we and all that is came out of)

I think the answer to this goes back to America and many parts of our world becoming overly logical / rational / mechanistic / left-brained and totally out of balance.with the parts of us that make us human. (The softer or feminine energies that make us human. I have written about this in various WF posts. See here.)

I decided I should create another thread here (respond there)

First - One must find his mind. If one does't find his mind, he has lost his mind, and for that,, he may need help.
