How To SMS and Receive calls online while abroad?

Hi Guys

I am looking for a solution to be able to:
1. send SMSs from computer from a UK mobile number,
2. receive return calls from UK number on my computer as I travel a lot

I am based outside of UK but would love to be able to do both as I have most of my clients based in UK.

Big thanks for any suggestions/softwares/apps

Skype doesn't offer UK numbers? (I honestly don't know). I know you can send an SMS from one and, of course, receive calls on your computer with one.

My understanding is that yes, skype allows to send smses but people cannot sms back, also when someone wants to call back they cannot call back to the number you texted from.

Sure they can. You have to add your mobile phone to your skype account and set the option to receive SMS messages and people can SMS or call you back.

Are you expecting to see the sms reply in your skype window or something? If so, I don't think it will do that.

you can use viber as weel that may be a oalterantive for skype.

Well if you can't use the Skype for sms my suggestion to use sms companies as Experttexting.com that offering sms communications internationally.

Yes I can, I set up skype ID with my mobile, I can call, but I cannot receive inbound calls to my mobile Yes I can sms from my mobile, but I cannot receive incoming smses on skype
Yes I can use skype number, but it is only landline, so people cannot sms back to this number
