I look at the idea of selling SMS services to businesses as a significant investment. I live in a pretty populated area and I see local businesses offering loyalty programs via txt or email. Every time I see that I know somebody is making money doing this. I have looked at a couple white label plans such as lime, avid, trumpia. I know loyalty programs are just one of the ways businesses can utilize SMS services. I think SMS services cannot only be marketed to restaurants and hair salons and personal trainers etc I think they can also be marketed to cosmetology schools, large companies that need to communicate with employees etc. any business that spends money in advertising is a prospect to buy into an SMS marketing campaign. But SMS can also be utilized by institutions that are not advertising but are in need of a direct communication with its employees or students etc. If one were to invest in a startup like this, what capital would one need to be comfortable with? From my research, 5k seems to get me up and running in terms of buying txt credits and having a site under a white label platform. I would think another 5k can be utilized with a sales staff and marketing efforts to business locally and nationally ( cold calling, face to face meetings) any resellers out there want to chime in? Any resellers can offer tips as to how to profit in this business? I have time and capital and a true beliefe that mobile is the way of the future. |

The only people promoting Avidmobile are Avidmobile employees. Save your money and look for a different company. Lime Cellular is the best solution if you are looking for an all in one platform and they actually own/create the technology they sell...unlike Avid.

The company I'm signed up with is less than $300 annually to use the white label program. Messages are pay as you go, so when you get new customers, you buy more messages and upcharge the whitelabel's rate to your customer to make your profit.

Hello, this is my experience. I use twillio and openvbx to make simple text and voice apps for local businesses. I also use geo coupon commander and wp loyalty card. I go after groupon clients and show them how they can build 3 viable assets from the traffic groupon sends their businesses. I help them build sms list, email list and direct mail list. Then i show them how to create mobile coupons to distribute to their sms list. |

A lot of people use everyday WhatsApp which has free SMS service. I am not sure that paid SMS can be the way to go, but you can try |

Just curious, there seems to be a few SMS white label resellers in this thread, how are you all doing during this holiday season? Have you seen an uptick in your businesses inquiring about SMS text message marketing?
