Why do you think mobile traffic is currently cheap?
Is it because not targeted or what?
$0.01 a click for USA etc trffic...

    There's more than one reason.

    The premium sites sell their best traffic (best spots on sites/apps, well-targeted traffic, etc.) for big-budgeted advertisers with private deals. What they couldn't secure with those deals they sell for RTB networks. What they couldn't sell on RTB networks they sell it to networks where yo can buy it for $0.01 or less, as RON (run-on-network, untargeted) traffic.

    So the traffic you get for this price is most likely remnant traffic or redirect traffic or popunder from some worthless site.

    You still might be able to monetize it, but don't expect too good results if you aren't experienced mobile marketer.

    Mobile is one of the cheapest cost in world wide. So easily accessible through apps. Large number of users available in an online presence. So its easy way of traffic increasing which help to increase sales also gain web traffic.

      It depends on the app. What interactions would you expect from an alarm clock app's ads?

      How many banners have you clicked in your alarm clock app so far? None, I guess. But you can buy a ton of traffic from those apps for a very low price. But is it worth it? No.

      There are tons of apps out there; that's true. How many of them delivers good traffic? Not so many.

      You have to be able to choose the good performing traffic sources, even if the traffic comes from apps. To do that you need a good tracker software, which gives you the ability to select the good converting sources and the bad as well.

      But that's another story.

      I think it's not that easy. Traffic quality doesn't necessarily mean users buying products. For webshop owners it does.

      For example for Angry Birds it means traffic from users who play every day and buy stuffs in the app.

      For news sites, it means loyal users who come back 10 times every day and comments below the articles.

      And so on.

    mobile traffic is not good due to lower earnings from it as advertisers dont pay high for mobile viewers. So it lowers the competitions and so the revenue and so the interest.

    I think it's easy not many take out a credit card and buy something from mobile.. When people use a pc, they are more in "buy" mode. When people use a mobile they are more in "sociale mode".

    Mobile traffic, web or app can be monetized by other methods than buying a product via credit card.
    Think of in-app purchases and carrier billing. These methods remove payment barriers and can make mobile traffic valuable with the correct app or site/offer combination.
