"Awesome! This page is mobile-friendly."

If Google itself says your site is mobile-friendly, then what? I don't know about you guys...but I tested a lot of sites that had mobile versions and every one gave me thumbs up on their mobile-friendly test:

https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...bile-friendly/

So does that mean you can't compete for better search rankings in the same niche because we get that designation? Of course not! So what do we use next? What happened to page load speed and the dozens of other criteria that I thought made your site compete better?

I mean it says "Awesome! This page is mobile-friendly." for every site I submit. They can't be all good...can they?

Go WF!

Google like mobile friendly site and it would be better for a website if it is developed in Bootstrap. Moble phones are very handy gadgets to make online searches anywhere from the world and these smart phones help browsing information which is not possible to browse a website that is not mobile friendly. The main feature of such mobile friendly sites is that there will be only a vertical bar to browse its webpages. You will not see a horizontal bar at its end to browse the webpages in horizontal side.
Mobile friendly websites are also developed in many CMSs such as Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, shopify, Prestashop, and Opencart nowadays. Such sites helps online users to browse it fast to get its information. So search engines thinks for users and their time.

just because google says a site is mobile friendly doesn't necessarily mean the site offers a good mobile end user experience. the only way you can properly test this is by pulling out your phone and opening the site on it...

i see everyday sites that say they are mobile friendly - simply because they are using a responsive theme but in actual fact the end user mobile experience has been nothing short of shocking...

But that's why I posted this...you made my point for me. Google itself tells you that your site is mobile friendly and makes a big deal about giving it a happy smiling face and the! Saying that its mobile friendly... when in actuality it depends on user experience and page load speed and other items.

So why do they even have this site to tell you that is mobile friendly? Google Developers mobile friendly test... I don't understand the purpose of it because almost every single URL I put in there is given a thumbs up

Your guess is as good as mine!

Thankfully for your clients you know better than to take Google's word for it and understand the importance of the mobile end user experience!

Sadly by the lack of response to your original post it seems like most other people here don't understand this or probably simply don't care...

See...it's not even about that. It's that the supposed authority on what makes a mobile site a GOOD mobile site is passing everybody with flying colors. I mean...isn't the purpose of the Google lab site to give credit where credit is due? (Rhetorical question.)
