Android & Iphone Apps

Who has made an application for their website?

Its a big market out their and if you can do it and get it right you could get a bigger community following and traffic to your websites.

who has done it?

I'm actually in the process of making my app for android, ios and ipad using the service in my sig, appbotic.

Same thing here, blog feed, facebook, podcasts, custom counter for range target shooting and a tab for ballistics data.

Whats your app marketplace url?

I would also post your apps in amazon. I get a fair amount of traffic downloads from that site.

Re: Android & Iphone Apps

I have been using the Android apps for weeks now and have put a clickbank mobile webpage inside the app so once it has been downloaded and you tap to open it goes to the webpage , so far had 1200 downloads in 3 weeks , but I stress do not do this in the main Android market as you will get the App deleted and your account banned

Here is the TOS from the main developer site

4.5 Non-Compete. You may not use the Market to distribute or make available any Product whose primary purpose is to facilitate the distribution of Products outside of the Market.

I would agree not the main android market. I wonder if Amazon would allow this?

Write an HTML-5 website. My opinion. Itunes and Android will be leaving with HTML-5. The walled gardens will be broken

Mobile marketing IS HUGE... I completely stopped building websites... people coming into that game now are extremely late to the game..

This is an interesting question. I've been trying to figure out how I can integrate affiliate marketing (mostly Clickbank and CPA offers) into an app. It seems like you would be able to add a mobile-sized banner ad but you wouldn't necessarily be able integrate the clickbank page.

Before getting into the mobile apps, I'm going to create mobile sites with affiliate offers then try to drive traffic with admob ppc.

I'll just say that they're very... lenient on these rules. Before I read the rules I had an app whose entire purpose was selling Amazon products and it was on the market for over a year before I took it down myself.

I'm not saying you should make an app like this, but they don't seem to pay much attention to free apps.

Just check the numbers here: GetJar | Mobile | (almost 23,000 now)
It's a rss-driven app of my mobile gambling portal casinoplanet.mobi

I've also submitted to AndroidMarket and Handster, but these downloads are much more modest ;)

I have an app that was created for both and has nothing to do with my website......I as of yet only have a few downloads and most likely will make it free very soon to get it downloaded.
