| My $400 haircut: I went in to get my hair cut two days ago and as they're cutting my hair the nice lady asked me what I "do". I said "I'm a mobile website designer. I build mobile websites for small business". They said, can you build us one? I said "Yep". Can you see the reflection in the logo? That's because I snapped a quick shot with my iPhone while I was there and used it. I think the blue reflection adds a touch of class to the shot and is exactly what greets people as they walk into the salon. It's mounted on a backlit big red feature wall so I just took that existing design and voila... |

I'm a huge fan of WillR's mobile website system. I use his templates and make my own mods to customise them to my own taste. You can check it out here --> http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...2-reviews.html |

As i think mobile websites are good but what is the need to remember or bookmark the URL if we can access all the information through single app touch.

Sorry, I'm not sure i understand your statement/question but this thread is for images (as Will has stated) so maybe check in the discussion threads if you want to discuss apps vs sites or want to know how to bookmark a mobile website or add it to your home screen with a special bubble (as Will shows in his system).

Those are not templates. Those are mobile sites made by me that look like the dekstop site of the businessess but in mobile form. Regards, Marian

Guys great job and ideas with design. How big files do you use for images.(bkg, logo and other) Do you make most of design in PS or Fireworks? Regarding Blackberry phones which have smaller screen than iPhone. How do you handle logo size? If it stretches it won`t looks as good. I guess you set to match BB, but it moves to the middle when viewed on iPhone or Android. Am I correct? I say again, you all put fantastic designs |

The standard width you should really design for is the 320 pixels. That's what I find works best.

Will and others those are great examples! I've made my first mobile site using your templates, how do I make one with the graphics in the background as shown in the first examples? I don't recall seeing a template like that. On another note, I'm getting ready to sell my first mobile site, customer is ready to buy but we need to discussing pricing. His business has a lot of product images, probably 50 or so. I'm wondering how to price this since images are the most time consuming. I'm thinking first 10 for free anything after $2 per image, what do you all think? Thanks C |

As for pricing, if you need advice the best thing to do is to start a new thread about it since this thread is really just about mobile website examples.

Here is one that I am working on now. Its a mobile only site... and the business is a local bar/club and uses this to promote his specials. In between photos it displays advertising. And guys can pay tips to the girls through the site. This one is always a work in progress... I create all of my mobile sites using Dreamweaver CS6, Fireworks CS6 and Jquery Mobile. |

Using media queries, you can create different page layouts for different size devices and include them all in one file. I use Dreamweaver CS6 and Fireworks CS6 to do all of my Mobile designing. They are the best I have found!

See here is the problem with applications what platform are you going to write your application for ... IOS, Android, Windows ... I did not say Blackberry because it seems like they just pushed back BB 10. Now here is where it gets expensive you will need a developer who knows who to code for each phone. Then the other thing is you will have to update the code for each phone ... That is very expensive buddy ... Now if you are a big corporations ... then you can afford to do it as most big corp are implementing bring your own device and we will support it. Your best bet is to look at develop mobile web application using technologies like Jquery mobile and HTML5.

1. Host your image somewhere. If you are looking for a free image hosting site then i recommend: imgur 2. Use the image button to insert your image url into the post. Like this... 3. Done. |

I have my main website set up using Mantra theme which is a dynamic theme adjusting to fit any device including Mobile Phones. How does this differ to having mobile sites. I have Mobile site software, but the end results look better using the free Mantra theme for wordpress. Does this effect getting into the mobile network? |

question. does anyone know how you get or install a redirect code if your using say will or squeeze mobi program? If a client has a desktop site, but wants a mobile site created, how do we create the redirect code so someone who views the site on their phone can choose to see desktop or mobile version? I know the code would have to be added to the desktop sites html... but...any answers?

You just have to edit the source code of their index pages and insert the javascript redirection scripts they provide.

Jump Mobi also offer redirect scripts that work, just paste them in the top section of the desktop website.

Although there are some great looking mobile sites on here I think that some of them are getting a bit busy and are starting to look like big sites crammed into a mobile screen. I believe the "keep it simple" approach is still best for mobile sites. |

Great looking mobile web sites! I am curious if the real estate and car sites may be using data bases. Is there a data base app that can be incorporated into a mobile web site to show to car dealers and real estate agents? Thanks WillR for starting this thread... r/ MikeR |

Here is a layout I customized for a law firm and have done the same for many other businesses. I get complements and so do the clients all the time. Features: Click to call, sliding banner, menu buttons, bottom overview content, social buttons, quick navigation menu at bottom with call, directions, contact. PM me if you are interested in more info. (first one is the top of home page, second is the bottom of home page) |

Just had a client today ask for a mobile site so that clients do not have to scroll much on home page, so we came up with this... These custom sites offer:
