Do you prefer Iphone or Blackberry?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Can I have some opinion:
Does anyone send out Aweber/Getresponse mailing list email using Blackberry phone?
Or is it majority of us here prefer the iPhone rather than other brand such as Blackberry, LG, Samsung, SONY?
Thanks for your opinion

I have used both the iPhone and Blackberry and I must say I prefer both of them for certain tasks.

I much prefer my Blackberry 9700 for doing all my emailing and text messaging. Nothing beats having the actual full qwerty keyboard when trying to fire out emails or text messages nice and quickly. I've never been able to do is quite as fast on a touch screen type phone such as the iPhone. I also love the battery life of my Blackberry.

In terms of apps and adding additional functionality to the phone then the iPhone is definitely the clear winner. It's also much better for searching the web. This does come at a cost though since the battery life gets chewed up much quicker.

They are both great phones that have been built for different purposes. The Blackberry has typically always been designed with the business person in mind. Someone who needs quick and easy access to all their emails and is not too fussed about the novelty side of a phone.

The iphone, from my experience, is more suited to those who do a lot of web surfing and like to treat their phone like a bit of a toy.

I think you will find that the majority of people prefer the iPhone.

Simply put, it's more reliable and runs smoother. MUCH smoother. This is coming from a guy who has had multiple blackberries, seen his parents go through blackberries, seen his friends go through blackberries, and also the same applies for androids and iPhones.

I continuously have heard people that switched from the iPhone to the blackberry resent their decision (also apple users that have switched to the android). The reasoning is simple... Androids and blackberries seem to clog up overtime and their keyboards simply do not cut it.

The iPhone is far more advanced and with iOS 5 and the next iP coming out..... theres no reason to not get it lol. I've waited in line for every single one and you better believe i'm doing the same here!!! it's a great time to network lol.

This is funny. We wouldn't be having this conversation if it were not for the iPhone because there wouldn't be a mobile sub forum here. The iPhone ushered in the mobile web and mobile marketing as we know it back in 2007.

I actually think the easiest & most effective twist to this is to draft the message you want to send your list while on a desktop computer or laptop. Save the draft & then send it from your mobile. It's quicker to type it up that way & you still get the coolness factor of having it sent from "my iPhone" or "my Blackberry."

As to which phone is cooler, Blackberry is a pretty straight laced business phone IMO; I think iPhone has a lot more options which I like. I personally was so glad to get rid of my Blackberry, but that's just me

This!... market is primarily Droid vs iOS now, RIM has fallen waaaaay behind on the BB phones, their just plain clunky and non-smooth to use. I had a Bold and the whole BB email/text thing is overrated, I have no problem with text and email on my iPhone.

iOS is much smoother and so much more you can do, especially being jailbroken my phone is fully customized. I can type faster on the iPhone than the BB's or other phones that have keyboards.

Are there anyone in here who has unbiased insights as to android vs iphone? All the apps that are important are on both nowadays and it seems like it comes down to open vs closed environment within the OS? Anyone have/had both?

I have had a Blackberry for 5+ years, Android for one month, and iPhone for 1+ years. I loved my Blackberry during the time I used it but wanted something more dynamic so I switched to an Android. I felt the Android was an improvement over the Blackberry. Around the same time I had the Android, I also bought my first iPad and fell in love with iOS and felt it was much better than the Android OS so I dumped it for an iPhone.

Everyone is going to have their own preference, why not try them all out?

What does a closed environment really mean to you? I hear people say this but I don't think they put much thought into it. I actually think this is a huge benefit of the iPhone.

Out of the choices I would prefer the iPhone. If it were up to me, I'd choose Android. Blackberry's are starting to seem outdated. Although, I have only ever used 2 different Blackbery's. So I don't have much to base it on.

For day to day business - I am a heavy email user - BB is much easier - I simply find the keyboard easier to use, and for me, more accurate. But I also spend quite a bit of time online as well - and for that purpose, the iphone is better. I spent the last several months using a Droid and quite honestly - dumped the contract and returned to the iphone. I still miss my BB, but am an iphone user for now - the final decision was really that I run a full mac office - ipad - macbook - mac desktop - so syncing everything together was easier with the iphone.

Android is the only way to go.

Full rooting capabilities (on most phones) allows you to undo all of the crappy programs that service providers slow your phone down with.

Active fan/hacking community that creates beautiful ROMs and themes.

Imagine having an iphone that didn't force you to use itunes and could go for three days (easy) without a charge, and looked as slick as it operated.

That's android.

HTC Incredible (on verizon) running MIUI with Espana Pink theme.

In my opinion Blackberry is much better as compared iphone. As a business device I'd have to say that BlackBerry wins hands down. It's physical keyboard is spot-on and it's so very simple to setup for email. And also Blackberry is good for texting.

You can tell which post on here reek of spam lol

We have another Bold now, the new model as my gf's work provides new phones. They have iPhones as well however they ran out before she got hers (seems even professionals prefer the iphone lol) and they only had the new Bolds left.

I stick to my previous statement, BB's are just clunky and out of date to use. I can type waaay faster on my iPhone screen then that crammed key board on the BB. The only "key board" phone I liked was a HTC TyTn 8525 I had 4 years ago as the position of the phone combined with the pad layout made it nice to use. iOS blows BB OS away, BB Apps aren't even remotley close to being on the same plain as Apple or Droid. I can't think of one advantage... it's even slow online browsing vs iPhone.

There's a reason RIM is losing more and more ground, just clunky out of date products. Just not on the level of usability and flexibility/customizing as iOS or Droids. And now you have the new iPhone5 and newer Droids coming out that are taking technology to the next level again, while BB is kinda just stuck floundering around.

Iphone i think wins the race as far as phones , its easier then most androids and blackberrys. The iphone is truly made for everyone not just tech savy individuals. The only downfall of iphone is not being able to use flash ( which will probably be available on iphone 5)

Blackberry is best for SEO purposes because you can't type easily in I-Phones. It were best if you were working forex or in some investment programs.

Thanks for your opinion

Target markets for the iPhone and BlackBerry are starting to overlap as well. The iPhone is a media consumer's dream, playing movies and music with ease. But it's not as finely tuned for the corporate user; large companies have resisted letting employees use iPhones on corporate networks, and information-technology consultant Gartner has advised its corporate clients to avoid the iPhone for now.
Still, analysts speculate that Apple is working on a corporate-friendly version of its e-mail software or that Apple will announce it's working with a third party to handle the job.
Meanwhile, BlackBerrys are taking on more iPhone-like trappings all the time.
The BlackBerry has long been the staple of corporate users who focused mostly on e-mail and calendar features, but Research In Motion has recently been aiming for high-end consumers who might buy the device for play as much as for work.
BlackBerrys now boast cameras that shoot both still and video images. They also play music. Now, Research In Motion is rumored by analysts and gadget blogs to be working on a new device, the BlackBerry 9000, that sports a touch-sensitive screen –- making it look an awful lot like an iPhone. The company declines to comment on future products.....!

Android is way better.
Coming from both a blackberry and iPhone owner, I went with the Samsung Galaxy S and I will never buy another product again. Apple are a bunch of pirates these days, charging fees for everything when Google allows user to instantly upload free apps.

I like the morphology of the iphone; however, the Blackberry is #1 for typing.

BB is a must have for most workers in the city of london as the ease is typing much better than the iphone, BB is mostly for business use. Iphone on the other hand as most have said is for surfing and aimed at that type of group, the web surfers. I have both, BB for my business and iphone for web surfing.

I love Android, in fact, I once had the EVO4G. Absolutely loved it. Then, when I moved business in this area, Sprint was no where to be seen, so I went with the iPhone at Verizon. I am not going to get into a favorites war, but I will address some facts. The Android is not a phone, it is as operating system. That being said, the Android OS is on many different phones and developed by different companies. Sigh...the #1 selling phone (from one company only) with it's own chips and it's own operating system (Apple only) is #1. No one with that fashion can compete. I F'd around to much on my EVO4G, it's fun..I got nothing done. Being in a business, that's not a good plan. I'm in business to make money. I don't fool around with my iPhone. Personally, I am more productive on it. Now, let's recap.

The iPhone and the iOS system is boss...period. It doesn't matter who has one, how old you are, etc. The numbers never lie. Again, I must repeat in case you disagree with me so far. "The numbers never lie. The iPhone is boss."
