Question about duplicate content for mobile sites?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi everyone

I've been using WillR's template for creating mobile sites which uses a redirect script when someone visits the main site on a mobile phone. I'm curious if there are any concerns about using duplicate content on the same time, since I will just be using a subdomain of their regular website.

I am hopeful that if I use the same "about us" pages that they won't be penalized for having duplicate content. I'm sure that I'm just being paranoid but does anybody have an answer for this?

Thanks in advance as always

Brendan

Brendan,
Joemotion gave you a great answer str8 for Big "G"s mouth. We have
not seen any issues at this point in regards to this. I wouldn't be concerned
about it. Cutts is pretty str8 forward on what is happening
there on this side. Now go rack up some more Clients.

To Your Continued Success,

I would worry about it nor should it be an issue. At some point in the future there might be a issue with the duplicate content if people take advantage of this.

I have to agree. At the moment, duplicate content is not an issue for mobile sites and Google had said it is focused on indexing mobile sites separately. If you are into SEO, this means build multiple mobile sites on multiple mobile platforms ASAP.
