Redirect script on every html page? For the non-wordpress sites out there, is it best to add the mobile re-direct script to every html page on a regular website. The reason I would say "yes" is because if someone does a Google search and it takes them to an internal page, it would not be re-directed to the mobile site without the script. Is this correct? Re: Redirect script on every html page? Mike, That is 100% correct. If using a script then you want to add it to each page you have a mobile version for. It's also best to redirect the page to the corresponding mobile version. So if a visitor searches Google for your opening hours and finds your opening hours page, when they click on that page instead of being redirected to the homepage of the mobile site, they should be taken to the opening hours page of the mobile site. It takes a few extra minutes to set things up this way but the end-user experience will be much better. |
