Dear Warriors,

I am trying to find a website similar to Mobile Website Design, Website for Mobile, Mobile Websites | SayuConnect and iPhone 3G/4G tester - online website test emulator with flip when i am doing my research for companies that i will be contacting. Please help me.

Lastly, can anyone tell me the prices they are charging to build the mobile websties for your customers?

Thank you

Have a read around the mobile section because you will find there is already plenty of talk about the prices everyone is charging and the tools people are using.

The best mobile emulator I have found to date is:
Mobilizer | Springbox

That one (Mobilizer | Springbox) doesn't work quite right for me. When I go to a site on my iPhone, the whole page is in view and I have to tap to zoom in.

When I load the same site in Mobilizer, it is zoomed in on the upper left portion of the page. In addition, while I can scroll up/down, I am not able to scroll side to side. This make it impossible for me to demo a prospect's site on video.

Am I the only one with this issue? I'm on a Mac so I wonder if that matters? I would love to find a good site or software to allow me to give a proper demo/critique of a prospect's current site.

You will find all the mobile emulators/simulators are the same in that they will display the zoomed in version of the site. There are none I have come across that allow you to zoom in and zoom out. The reality is someone is going to have to zoom in on a website in order to read and/or use it so this is what they will be faced with.

This is something you can explain to prospects. You can then show them how their mobile site will look and function - much more important.

Do you also have the no scrolling side-to-side issue that I do? Or does Mobilizer scroll in every direction for you?

No, it doesn't scroll side to side nor do most of the emulators. Obviously it is not an actual phone and the client will understand this. You are just trying to give them a visual representation of what their site looks like for a mobile user.

@WillR - not good enough, i need to be able to scroll in the video demo.

@Gotham - I had seen that one before and I think it will have to work.

Thanks all!

My favorite emulator can be found at mobilewebsites.com, it even has an iPad emulator. One of the last links in the top navigation.

PS - Also nothing to download, as it is all online.

I'm glad I found this thread. I've been looking all over for a simulator that shows the zoomed out view, but I guess they don't exist yet.
thanks

I actually sent through a request to the guys at Mobilizer telling them it would be useful if they could somehow include that feature. I never heard back from them. Maybe if a few others request the same feature they might think about it. I'd be more than happy to pay for that emulator if they added that feature.

I like iPhone 4 Simulator - Test iPhone Websites iPhone Web Apps

The only draw back is that it does show flash sites properly (obviously iPhone doesn't), I don't know about the other emulators on that front...
