Can someone explain the difference between the 2?

I know we can use text ads for smartphones(full modern browser) just like we do for desktop whereas WAP Mobile ads are meant for older generation phones.

My question is - whether those WAP Mobile Ads will show up ONLY in older generation phones or it will also show up in new full browser capable smartphones?

Text Ads expect a URL whereas WAP Mobile Ads can be run just by supplying a toll free number without having a URL. Since I drive traffic to a toll free number, I don't have a web site. Moreover, it's increasingly difficult to get a landing page approved in Google to run your campaign.

I'm worried - whether traffic to WAP Mobile Ads will slow down in coming days because of widespread adoption of smartphones(iOS/Android)?
