Hi, I contacted somebody to do mobile site basic $297 advanced (more tabs) $497 his replay was gomobi is $5-$7 per month why would I use you? Since people can search this stuff on google what is response please don't respond with "this client is not for you move on" I think it's legitimate question and I need some ammunition for argument for future thanks mike |

Why would you want to argue with them? That's not a situation you even want to put yourself in. The problem is your prospecting, not your sales objection handling skills. That's why a two step lead generation campaign is always the best. You create something in advance that will get people COMING TO YOU to do their mobile site. Otherwise, if you're just willy-nilly cold calling you're going to face objections like this everyday and there is little chance you can "convince them" otherwise... regardless of how good you are at sales. |

It IS a legitimate question and one you should have answered before you went into business. Have you done any research yourself? If you had, you'd know how to have differentiated yourself from the competition. What are you offering that no one else is? Jason's right. You need to do your research and prospect better. Then you'll know exactly what to say to your prospect to get them to buy. |

I'd say it really depends on what he wants and if he wants to do it himself. We pay people to do things we do not want to waste our time doing. Ask him these questions? 1. How long do you think it would take you to make a site with gomobi?(remember he doesn't have experience so this is likely a few hours. If he says less ask him why he thinks it will be so fast). 2. How much is your time worth? Ths leads into you explaining that you do this all the time and he is hiring someone with knowledge to do it right and to save him time. If you are offering hosting maybe you can offer him $10 a month hosting only to compete or even $5. But honestly you have to ask yourself if you took his question this seriously do you honestly believe you are giving him a good value at your prices? Or are you just pricing the way everyone told you to. |

Be aware that for every business owner that even knows that GoMobi even exists, there is probably 1,000 that do not. If you are not up to speed on your sales/consultative skills, then it is best to just go to the next prospect, but do it in smarter, more targeted fashion, in a way that - as other posters point out - is based on strong pre-research. This way you can anticipate objection and handle them with confidence. Remember: Some will, some won't, so what! Someone else is waiting! |

I rarely get this response, but the odd time I do, I handle it like this... There will always be cheaper people to go to if you want to "do it yourself". If you have the time and the skill to do it, then you should do it. But as a fellow business owner, I'm spending enough time in my business that even if I know how to do something like this, I don't because my time is too valuable. I find an expert and let them handle it while I concentrate on the high value activities in my business. You've seen the horror stories on TV when a do it yourselfer remodeled their home...and what did it cost them to have a pro redo it? And we're not talking about a house here, we're talking about your business. Something to that effect. There will always be the lowballers and cheapskates - but as it's been mentioned, set yourself apart (USP) and go for it! |

I always say that's fine why haven't you set it up. Can I help you set it up. Charge an hourly fee and do it for them. I have done about 5 of these out of 400 customers now and in the end have converted them to my system so they actually paid me twice. Quentin |

Offer them something ONLY YOU can provide! Which is....a "Mobile Site Directory" for his Town. Ex: 1st page lists; "where to eat"...where to shop...where to stay...auto services....medical services....dental services....home services... Clicking on any of these Links brings up another Listing Page showing 1 of these biz in each Section of your Town or...1 restaurant in each Category of Food (American, BBQ, Italian, Greek...etc) Don Alm |

Hey Don, I like your idea of the mobile directory, however how do you yourself market this for it to be any significance to them? What I have found is when typing for example "accountants in XXXX" my location, not far down the first page is Yell, and this is a mobil ready site. How do you compete with such an established household company/service with virtually the same service.
