So when I go to sites like Odesk etc I need to know what skill sets Im looking for . So what skill sets (PHP Java etc) would I need to search under for mobile phone websites, tablet sites, Apps development , AR , NFC ? It seems there can be a variety for the same outcome in some cases so dont want to miss out on a good contact by not including as many options as I can. cheers |

With that said, let me give you a quick rundown of some skill sets you may be looking for: iOS Apps - Objective-C/ XCode 4 Android/Blackberry - Java/ Eclipse Windows Phone - C# (and some others) (I Prefer Visual Studio 2010). There are many ways to create native apps without knowing these languages...using frameworks like AppMobi/PhoneGap XDK (look it up on Google). If you know some HTML, CSS, and Javascript, you can make a native mobile app. Be careful that you don't ask to see if they know those frameworks because I have yet to see a COMPLETE framework that can do everything you can do writing the code raw.

Hey Njenyus thanks for your reply , these sites more or less force you to search via programming/ coding skill/ languages , I keep telling them (the site owners) they should allow search via results required ie mobile m commerce website, app etc as , as you say above, there are so many options that can arrive at the same result (or near enough)

For mobile sites and tablet sites - hosted on your server, I'd look for these skills: html html5 php css Apps dev - huge area... more info required to answer There are cool tricks that can be done turning a regular mobile website into a Mobile App for Android or for iPhone added skills: Android App maker =) (there are free ones online, google it) AR (Augmented Reality) and NFC - again, it can vary based on requirements. In your offer, you can ask them to give examples of work relative to your request... A clear Title in the Offer can often help qualify your worker.
