Is there complete mobile strategy?

I'm newbie in this business and can't manage to build entire mobile strategy for off-line clients. There are many questions:
- what features should be in the mobile site?
- how to use sms marketing?
- how to use QR-codes?
- how and how much charge from the clients?
etc.
Forgive me for my simplicity .
Thanks

There is plenty of free information on all these topics in this forum. None of us can answer all those questions in one post. Go and do some research around the mobile marketing forums and then come back and ask any specific questions you might have.

Your question is like asking someone... "teach me maths.."

It's not that easy.

Thank you for reply. I know it's not easy. I meant some WSO or eBook. But only really useful and informative.

Why would you pay some money for something full of information which you can find for free in threads on this forum?

It might take a little longer, but if you're wanting to take shortcuts before you've even started to provide a service, I don't think you're cut out for it.

Here's a step by step guide for you, and don't worry I wont charge you $17 for it, or any other random WSO fee:

Step one: In the search function at the top of this page type in "features for mobile website?"
Step two: In the search function at the top of this page type in "sms marketing?
Step three: In the search function at the top of this page type in "QR-codes"
Step four: In the search function at the top of this page type in "how much charge for mobile website?"

GO!

We had a White paper posted on that, however I am a "newbie" here and can't send you a PM.. Please contact me, and I'll send you a link.

Essentially, the main thing to keep in mind is that a mobile visitor is a lot more focused and a lot less patient. On the mobile we are not browsing, we want to get something done asap. So mobile marketing is about taking advantage of that in ways that helps the customer and helps the business.

Oh, and forgot to add - on a Google webinar I heard the Google presenter say that mobile marketing is currently in its infancy, like a 2 month old baby.. so there is lots to experiment with before it starts shaping into any form of science : )

I hate to ask this question, but I will anyway... Does SMS marketing really work? I get annoyed when I receive alerts from businesses that I don't even know about. Where exactly do they get my contact info and is it legal what they are doing?

Thanks!

There is optin sms marketing and this is the type of marketing being discussed on this forum. You should never send sms messages to people who have not opted in and asked for them. I believe that's illegal anyway.

It's no different to email. I am more than happy to receive emails from businesses whom I have actually requested to receive emails from but if I receive an email from a random business, I won't give it the time of day. Straight to the spam/junk folder it goes.

Re: Is there complete mobile strategy?

OP, you are the marketer and You should be the one who helps the business develop the Mobile Marketing Strategy. You can only do that by first understanding the client's business model, his products/services, and his consumers. You start with understanding and helping the client define the goals. A package of 'mobile capable products' is not a solution.

Your post makes me think you are product specific when you should be looking at solutions. Study Mobile Marketing and it's different channels. After you understand them you will be in a better position to help you client and measure the results. The key is you are selling a solution and no two clients are the same. Meaning that you might end up developing several different solutions for several different clients.

I think you're referring to "Blue Tooth Marketing" and that's where anyone within close range can send SMS messages to ANY blue tooth enabled device. The "alert" politely asks you to "Accept" the message from "so-and-so-business for whatever" they want you to know.

It's usually a business very close by with some free offer you probably won't refuse if it's right in "close proximity" of where you're standing, walking or driving. You can either accept or reject the message but once you accept it, you're added to their list.

That works for car shows, flea markets, boat shows, strip malls, stores and eateries inside the Mall. The accept rate is way better than email open rates any day of the week, believe it or not.

No, I think he probably does mean SMS marketing. There are companies who are already spamming people via SMS.

Yes there is but only if you know how to sell. If your not a sales person then learn how to sell. If you do not know how to sell then hire someone to sell on a commision. Real business people deligate work to others. This is what I do.
