Here is the strategy. Turn on your webcam, understanding that when your client is viewing this video they are looking at their website in the background behind your video. You start off by saying, "wow I was looking at your website the other day, nice site (look around - remember your video is in front of their website page) . I was on my mobile phone though and really had a hard time seeing it and getting around." then hold up your phone to show that website in the cam. Now drive home the point. "I had my team put together a sample mobile site for you, here see." then hold up the demo site. Now go for the kill. "Would you like to see up close, go to www.site.com/client." and here is the closer. when they get to that page. show the sizzle Smartphone - Google Mobile Marketing Stats - YouTube and have a link to their site you built for them shown in an emulator with a click to call button. Try this idea and let me know how it works for you. |

This sounds like a good, quirky video sell and it could work, as it's sure to catch the attention of the business owner, proving they reead your e-mail and watch the video. It could however take a fair bit of time to make a) a basic, but customised mobile website and b) the unique video incorporating their website. You would need a pretty high buy rate to make it worthwhile. |

I think it's one of those ideas that sound great in theory but won't work as well in practice. Remember, no method is ever going to close 100% of the people you contact. So you are wasting a lot of valuable time creating videos and demo sites for the percentage of people who do not buy... and it would be a lot more expensive to outsource than it would if using cold-calling or email. | |

Why are people so afraid of talking to people??? If you've got something that you think will truly help business owners, by all means, help yourself and help them by letting them know about it. Stop being so d%$n passive. It reminds me of a guy who wants to dance with a woman but is too afraid to walk up to her and ask. Instead he continuously walks past her hoping she "notices" him. Don't be that guy (or gal). Show some passion and assertiveness. Start to develop a go getter mentality by going to get what you want. It rarely, if ever, falls into your lap. Eagles are eagles for a reason. And turkeys are turkeys for a reason. Which one do you want to be?? |
